Our office policy is to always provide the patients with options and benefits of the treatment that should be performed so they have the opportunity to receive the best care. We presented her with the choice, she accepted it. We can never guarantee coverage by insurance companies or an exact amount that will be paid for reimbursement since the insurance contract is between the policy holder and the insurance company and we are provided only with a general guideline as to their payment policy. This is why she was told repeatedly it was an estimate. The mother was also given the opportunity to create a financial arrangement. We have tried our best to resolve this in a calm and efficient manner over the past 8 months to no success. We will NOT re-bill their insurance for work we did not do on other teeth as that is insurance fraud. As stated in the letter sent to the patient on February 20, 2017, as there was no payment made towards their outstanding invoice by January 31, 2017, their account is no longer at our office and they must make payment through the collection agency. This is our final response to this matter.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
On on September 14th 2016 I did not drop off my children my three children had appointments for regular cleaning with dr. G[redacted]. After waiting over 19 minutes for my youngest son's to be taken back for his cream I was surprised
That that dr. G[redacted] was not even there. My younger son was seen by a different dentist we did not know. After the creaming I return to the office reception area. And my other children were still not finished or even started with their screaming. Because it had been such a long wait my youngest son was bored and I told the lady at reception that I was going to take him for a ride while the other two children had their cleaning. I expressed my disappointment that they had not communicated to me that my children would not be seen by dr. G[redacted] comma and that I pay a premium price for my children to be seen by dr. G[redacted] as he is a premier provider in our Network. That means my pie out of pocket is higher to see him rather than other dentist. The girl apologize for the inconvenience and lack of communication and also for the delay and the appointments taking so long she apologized again and gave me a movie ticket and a bag of popcorn as compensation. I left with my youngest son. I received a phone call explaining that my oldest two children needed sealants on their molars. Heidi salaciously represented that she had spoken with my insurance and received prior authorization and approval and that the sealant that they wouldn't do would be paid by my insurance. She assured me that this sealants would be on the first and second permanent molar surfaces. And that they would only seal those particular permanent molar surfaces. And that is the only agreement I made is to let them to those permanent molar surfaces as covered by myinsurance   she reassured and reiterated again that they would only feel those particular molars . And that is what I agreed to.II  call  asked me if I wanted sealants done on my daughter [redacted]'s teeth as well  and again I agreed to only have them feel the first and second permanent molar surfaces .10/4 I took my youngest in for a filling. I paid for stand went to leave. Heidi came out from behind the desk into reception are a standing between me and the door. She insisted I make make a put plan before I could leave. I told her that I was not able to do that and funds were tight. I expressed my disappointment that my insurance hadn't paid when she had specifically told me that she spoke with them &sealants were going to be paid by the insurance. I explained that I felt like that was their error. And I was not at a point to make a payment plan at times I asked her to talk to dr. G[redacted] and see if because of the misrepresentation of salacious representation that she had received approval from my insurance comma that because of the air dr. G[redacted] considering charging me at the cost of someone who paid for sealants self-pay without insurance. She told me she would talk to dr. G[redacted] and call me back so we can discuss and set up an arrangement. I felt I was being said because they misled me the service was covered. Had they not told me it was and made up of leeches conversation that they found they did not have with my insurance I never would have improved so much. This is dishonest unethical and unprofessional and I do not believe dr. G[redacted] knowingly charge me full price for sealants that his office had assured me we're covered by my insurance and falsified a story of a conversation but they didn't have. On January 10th after I had received a November and the December bill I called and asked to speak with an office manager or dr. A[redacted] had failed to call me back as she had promised. I was only allowed to leave a message and due to my frustration and being ignored and having several messages ignored I did say that I was considering getting legal consultation regarding this matter period because they were ignoring it and charging me because they still different teeth than I had agreed to let them steal. I became very frustrated with this situation. It says right on the bill to call with questions. And yes Heidi was ignoring every message I left. She refusedShe refused to discuss this matter with me and returned my messages as would have been the professional way of handling this I imagine she didn't want to talk to me because she lied to me about a fake conversation she said she claimed to have with my insurance. She knew I was first I would be frustrated because she had fallaciously represented that she hadn't received approval for these feelings from my insurancewhich was false and fraudulent. I received a letter from Heidi dated January 12th stating I must make a payment plan by January 31st or it would be sent to collections. I left several messages in attempts to discuss the matter and set up a payment plan but she never would call me back there for a plan payment plan was never put in place. Due to the lack of response I left a message February 17th saying to cease and desist collections processes period legally that means they cannot go forward with collection processes and send me to a collection agency when they refused to speak with me regarding this situation and refuse to discuss payment arrangements. I never asked them to dismiss anything again another fallacious representation by Heidi. Later I received a letter dated February 20th saying that they were sorry for my frustration but I was being sent to collections. On February 22nd I called dr. G[redacted] office and ask them that they rebuild this healing correctly after talking to my insurance I understood that they had build for feeling different surfaces then I had approved. Thinking that this was just an error and they had sealed the right tea that I did approve I asked them to rebuild it and correct the corresponding surface numbers. My insurance has informed me that they would have paid those first second permanent molar sealant which were the only ones I had approved. And trying to give G[redacted] the benefit of the doubt I thought they must have filled the right teeth and accidentally build for the wrong this is why I asked for the corrections. I am an honest person I would never ask anyone to commit fraud Heidi again is trying to avert a conversation regarding the conversation actually happened the day of the teeth were sealed. called dr. G[redacted] office and ask them to resubmit the bill. Again they did not respond to me nor make any corrections. On February 22nd I called G[redacted] dental and ask to speak with Heidi or someone in Billings to get this matter taken care of. Again Heidi wouldn't take my call and I was told I could leave a message I told the receptionist I did not want to leave a message that I had left several messages and they had been ignored admittedly I may have been upset and my tongue probably wasn't pleasant in frustration. But I never abused or threatened anybody. I was hung up on. So I called back and mediately thereafter within about 30 seconds.I frustrated after being hung up on. And I said. To the receptionist if no one will speak with me on the phone I am going to have to come in and speak to someone and try to speak to dr. G[redacted] in person about this matter and it will be in front of clients I had been patient but was beyond frustrated as they had continued to ignore my attempt to resolve this matter and also ignored any communication with me to discuss payments period I do not feel I should be held responsible for any collection fees or late fees because I did try to take care of this matter. It was Heidi and Billings refusal to take my calls and communicate with me regarding this matter that cause this will be left on paid for so long. This was unprofessional and again the initial representation of approval from my insurance fraudulence. I was not told that it was not a guarantee. I was told that it was covered if they sealed the wrong teeth that is their fault their air and I should not be charged for it. If they field the r ight teeth which I did agree to let them feel that is the first and second it second permanent molar surfaces. They should correct the bill to reflect those surfaces and resubmit to my insurance for payment. [redacted]
