DrAl Atta in Wauconda, IL lied to me about what he was going to charge me (charged me approximately $MORE than we had agreed on, telling me after I had paid my half of the charges, that my insurance (DHMO) had actually only agreed to pay about $300, so I would have to pay the rest, and threatened if I didnt pay he would not take my braces off or continue any work)He would literally slap me on the forehead almost every appointment I had with him (Honestly!) whenever I would wince from painBut what was I supposed to do? He had my teeth in his hands!! And after I had already paid him $2500, I didn't have the money to just go start over again with another orthodontist! As if this wasn't bad enough, he did not follow through with all the treatment (such as putting in a palatal expander to widen my upper jaw) and left me with not much straighter of a smile than I had years before he had put the braces onThen the cheap retainers that didn't even fit that he gave me after the braces came offAnd again, when I told him they didn't fit, I would literally get slapped in the forehead by him while I was lying down in the dentist chairWorst experience you could have at an orthodontistTreated his office assistant girls TERRIBLY right in front of me every appointment! I couldn't believe they would continue to work for such a demeaning man
