I arrived at the salon and met with the stylist who I had my appointment with. After showing a few pictures of the highlighted color I wanted for my hair, the stylist said she could do it. Trusting her words I thought I was in good hands. Unfortunately, not the case. I should have left when the stylist started the top of my head with highlights and asked if I wanted the sides done as well'! I stayed through and had the foils on my hair for an extremely long time. Not to mention, that once the stylist was done taking out the back foils over the sink, I had to get up from the sink area and go back to the stylist chair so another client could use the sink. At this time I was getting nervous because it had been quite some time for the lightener to be on the foils on the sides of my head. Finally, I was able to get back to the sink, as the stylist was taking off the foils she said it is much lighter than even the blonde color. I was nervous! I wanted a reddish tint highlight, definitely not blond as I have very dark black hair. Then the stylist asked me if I wanted warm or cool tones. I told her I want the color I had shown her before we started. She then proceeded to tell me that at least it didn't turn out orange and once she combs it, it won't look so light. I was upset by the result. Not to mention the layered haircut I had wanted is not what I received.
Long story short, I spent 3.5 HOURS, to get highlights and a haircut and am disappointed in the result. After spending so much time with an unprofessional stylist, she rushed through the haircut. Be ware! No matter how many years experience a stylist has, if they are unsure of how to do something or unable to get what the client wants they need to be honest. Even though the stylists
"sanitize" the sink station, they should look at the chairs and the overall cleanliness of the salon. After attempts to contact the salon, the manager told me I would receive a call from the "regional" or the Owner, which has never happened.
Refund I would like my money back. I have requested this through the manager of the salon. She informed me that the regional or the owner would call me the following morning. That has never happened. unfortunately the salon was having a special and the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!
I have received my refund and the manager has treated me with respect and blended my hair and conditioned it as well. Thank you
