We got called on a Saturday to do a tow on a broken down carMy driver showed up and met with a young man whose car was blocking some mailboxes at an apartment complexHe had keys to the car and my driver loaded the vehicleAt destination the young man paid my driver cash and was given receipts A everyday towdays later a lady called and asked to speak with a managerCome to find out, this driver was actually an unlicensed year old that had taken his mothers car for a joyride while she was out of townShe got upset with us for towing for an under aged driver that did not own said carWe had no way of knowingShe feels we should ID all people asking for a towThat simply is just not how towing worksA key to a vehicle proves authorized custody of a vehicle, that is what keys are forWe did not know he was Even if we did, and we didn't tow the vehicle, it would have been impounded in less then an hour for blocking mailboxes at the apartmentIf we had called police, car would have been impounded and the young man citedShe should be happy her son called us and got him and the car home safelyI understand that she is madAnd she should beShe would not speak to me with any reasoning and was firmly set on the fact that we did something wrongShe yelled that she was, "going to blow us up on Facebook and complain to the Revdex.com about us" and hung upUpon trying to recontact her, she simply launched us to voicemail twiceShe is mad, and retaliating at us for her sons wrongdoingShe should be happy we got him and her car home safelyShe should hide said keys when out of town with a year old left homeIf we had done what she is asking, and we left him there without towing him, then there would be a real reason to complain ! I am sorry that this happened to her, but happy that we supplied a quality towing service to her son at a reasonable price
