I recently went online to inquire about buying a car. This place has pulled my credit several times after I am advised them to stop.
I have asked this place to stop pulling my credit because I am not interested in buying a car from them. I have continued to get responsive from several companies stating that I am interested in purchasing a 2020 *** from them. I have a 2016 *** and have no intentions of buying a ***. I have asked them to stop pulling my credit because I am currently getting my credit repaired. This is a hard inquiry that could stay on my credit for 3 years. I stopped and blocked the phone calls over a month ago and I have even spoke to a salesperson as well as the sales manager to remove my name from their system. This application was done online and I have never made any promises to Doug Henry and even verbalized to them that I have no interest in purchasing a car from them.
I would like for them to contact all 3 credit bureaus or Equifax and have those inquiries removed.
Client used an online portal, auto credit express, requesting financing for an automobile. We as a dealership sent her information to 6 lenders in an attempt to help the client gain financing.
When the client contacted me and explained her situation regarding the unwanted credit inquiries, I asked her to come by the store so we could submit to the 3 credit reporting agencies to remove the inquiries. This requires the signature of dealership personnel and the client. CLient never came in.
That's not true, Noone asked me to come to the office. After contacting this business the first time, I was advised that noone was submitting inquiries and that my name would be taken out of their system. I advised them at that time that I was not interested in any car from their business and that I was getting my credit repaired and that they needed to stop pulling my credit. After that first initial phone call, I continued to get inquiries from 4 more lenders and I contacted them again and spoke to the sales manager who was very rude and stated that "you can't get approved by no one!" I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me. I have no intention of doing business with this company and I wish they would take my name out of their system. Even though my credit score has gone up 87 points, it could have been higher if they had stopped pulling my credit. They sent my information to 7 lenders not 4. If I was asked to come to the dealership, I would have never filed this claim.
Saw a 2017 *** pickup on their used vehicle lot on Sunday Arpil 13. We had seen another vechicle similar to it at another dealer. That dealer priced it to us at $ 35,040.54 including everything. Both trucks had similar miles and options except color. We called Monday am and spoke with salesperson *** and inquired if the truck was still available. *** responded that it was. We then asked if they would take $ 35,000 out the door, total. He said let me ask my managers. *** came back and responded yes that they would do that. He then texted us that they were going to the other location to pickup vechicle and bring it back to the Goldsboro store. At that point we were led to believe that the deal was done. We confirmed that we were going to bring a check for $5,000 and finance the balance of $30,000. They again confirmed. We went to the bank and obtained a cashiers check for the $5000 and proceeded to Goldsboro anticipating a smooth sign and delivery of truck. We left bank and proceeded to Goldsboro, we again texted to confirm that we had a deal. Just before we arrived, *** responded to our text saying that the manager wanted us to pay $37,000 . We declined and turned around and went to the other dealer. This dealership was apparently trying to get us to come in to the store and then strongarm us into paying more. We wasted the whole day from 8:30 am until 3:00 dealing with these is. BEWARE : A warning to anyone attempting to buy a car from these people. They are unscrupulous and will try to take advantage of you. DO NOT rely on what they tell you, you had better check the paperwork that you are signing. They will cheat you.
My family has been in business for 62 years. We have purchased dozens of vechicles, many, many pieces of machinery and heavy trucks. Never ,ever have we been treated like this by anyone. BEWARE: This is a dealership of crooks !
Note: We only left a one star review because there was no option for zero stars, which is what they deserve.
Doug Henry Buick GMC mailed me a "Cash Game" advertisement which indicated that I won a $5000.00 cash prize but they state I actually didn't win.
I received a "Cash Game" in the mail from Doug Henry Buick GMC. The game instructions state I should play the game and if a matching pair is found, I win. I had matching pair and game pice indicates "Win $5000.00". I first read the small print disclaimer which does explain if the game piece states you won $25K, that only means you are qualified to play an additional game at the dealer to see if you actually one. Where the disclaimer discusses the $5000.00 prize, it says the indicates there was a 1 in 60,000.00 chance of having game piece winning the $5000.00 prize and indicates I need to come to dealer with valid ID so they can validate my game piece and to pick up my prize. Additionally, the disclaimer indicates if I won $5K, I also get to play the $25K game at dealer indicating I could win an additional $25K. I called dealer, after providing the confirmation number, the dealer indicated I did have a winning ticket and I needed to schedule appointment to pick up my prize. I scheduled and attended appointment but Doug Henry stated they had a different confirmation number on file for the $5000 winner and informed me I actually didn't win anything. In my opinion, this is an unfair, unethical and nothing more than an attempt to trick citizens to believe they have won a prize that they actually haven't, desperately attempting to get traffic into the dealership so they can then try to trick citizens into buying a vehicle from them which is ridiculous. I do not understand how it could possibly be fair or legal to tell someone they have won a prize, playing a game that was sent thru the mail, only to waste my time to go to the dealer to then be told I actually didn't win anything but then offer to sell me a new vehicle.
I want this business to honor the $5000.00 prize their game states I won and I would also like them to discontinue purposely attempting to mislead and to trick citizens and any potential customers. I was actually interested in purchasing a new *** but there is now no way I would purchase anything from a business which practices these unethical and misleading practices. This is not fair and should not be allowed in the United States. If I scratched a lottery ticket, if it says I won, I actually won and that is how this game should have been presented as well or at minimal, the game piece should have clearly explained that if you have a matching pair, you qualify to come to this business to see if you actually won anything. It should not indicate you won $5000.00 if you really didn't win anything.
