Doral Tire And Service

Business charged me for 5.5 hours of labor but my vehicle was in the shop only 2 hours. Business Owner refused to refund my money. Lost $280.
This Repair shop I am about to talk about is in Doral Florida named Doral Tire And Service. A total Consumer Ripoff shop.
PRICE GOUGERS!!! I brought my vehicle to this store to get some preventative maintenance done; new brakes only, no rotors; transmission flush and fill and replace filter and gasket. Just to let you know, I have a cost engineering background. I know how to analyze detailed costs to see if I am paying a fair price. I received an estimate to sign and give approval for the work. There was no detailed breakdown. I thought the price was high but went ahead with the work BECAUSE IT WAS MARKED AS AN ESTIMATE. Assumption is estimates are not cast in stone. Once done I received my receipt and went home. Here is the interesting Part. I looked at the detail cost breakdown. My car was in the repair garage for 2 hours. I was charged 5.5 hours of labor at $80/hr. Next day I went back to the store. The manager said I signed to have the work done therefore there is no refund. Then he tells me that what ever labor hours are quoted, that is what the customer pays regardless if the job was done in less than half the time. THIS IS A TOTAL RIPOFF. I LOST $280 FOR MY IGNORANCE. My bill was $987.

Sept. 23, 2019-Doral tire purchased in Feb.2018 failed.
Sept. 25, 2019 tire replaced at cost of $91.82
Oct. 8, 2019 letter sent to Doral Tires requesting refund of cost for tire replacement.
January 9, 2020 second letter to Doral Tires since no response or acknowledgement to first letter. To date there has been no response to either letter.
