Review: My husband and I have a 13 year old [redacted] dog that we took to the animal hospital on recommendation from our regular vet as it was after hours. I called the animal hospital ahead of time to see what was needed for the visit etc and how much the visit usually costs. We were told $90 for the exam and anything else that was needed would be put in estimate form and presented to us before anything was done. We arrived at the vet at approx 5:40 pm and were greeted by a doctor that was going off shift and shortly thereafter our dog was taken back. She was kept in the back of the hospital for lots of tests and xrays that were not authorized by us until almost 10pm. We were not given any estimate on the extra services provided and felt that several of the test and defintely the xrays were unwarranted and again we were not told nor were we kept aprised of anything that was going on with our dog - Needless to say we left with a bill of over $600 and she was diagnosed with arthritis - something we already knew.Desired Settlement: Since we were not given the option of seeing what the extra tests would cost I want a refund of at least partial payment - I have no problem paying for the visit and the blood test that we were told about but we were not told about the xtrays etc and that was over $200
