This customer came in and purchased bags of dog treats and later returned to say that her dog didn't like one flavor and threw up after giving her the otherWe explained that we do not take back food items (this is stated very clearly on our store policy sign which is on the wall in back of the cash counter and on our receipts)The customer was very put off by this asked if instead of a refund that she get creditUnfortunately since both bags of treats were opened there was nothing I could do with them but I offered to take back bag in an effort to meet the customer half wayI explained that I would do this for her as a courtesy but since it was only bag she was completely unappreciativeShe even went so far as to wonder aloud what she should do with the other bag of cookies, " [redacted] ***"Then as she was looking for something to swap the cookies for, my employee clearly heard her say that she couldn [redacted] **;t wait to write about her experience at my shopOnce I heard this, it was clear that my effort to offer her an exception to my return policy was not going to be appreciated so at that point I told her I would not take back the cookiesAs far as there being no expiration date, the bags clearly state that the cookies are good through 8/so they are very fresh
