Dockside Diesel Service

I consider Mr. *** of Dockside Diesel Service Inc. Unethical, Misleading and Deceiving. I would never recommend him or this business to anyone.
Let me explain why!

On April 21, 2020 purchased first oil pan for my boat from Mr. *** at Dockside Diesel Service Inc. Mr. sold me the pan as "new" I paid $550 cash. After examining the oil pan, it was obvious the pan was not new. However we had our mechanic working on our boat with the engine (port side) lifted ready to install the pan, we were in dire need. To be honest and fare, although obvious that it was refurbished. It was in good shape.
The next day I called Mr. for another oil pan to replace the one on the starboard engine. At delivery it was made clear to Mr. that the pan he sold us was by no means new. He gave us a discount on the purchase and I paid $400.00 cash instead of the $550.00. When my mechanic took a look at it, he told us he would not install it! It was in horrible shape and within three months it will be falling apart. We immediately called Mr. and asked for a return. From the time I paid him to the first call, it had been maybe two hours. He advised us that he had paid his vendor already and that he would need to reach out to him for the money.
In the process of one week we called and spoke to Mr. everyday (except weekend) sometimes 2 to 3 times a day. His first answer was that his vendor was not returning his call. He later said his vender didn't want to return the money. He went as far as telling us to call the vender directly. Perhaps we could convince him to return the money. We told him we bought the oil pan from him, not his vendor!
As of today April 29, 2020 I have been ripped off $400. I hope nobody else gets taken in my this guy.....
