In regard to your letter concerning Complaint ID [redacted] I asked for an estimate about filling cracks in dry wall in my garageHe gave me a price on a piece of paperI didn't see the estimate sheet until he was doneHe said he would fill all cracks and paint my garageI told him I wanted light tan (even took him into my home to show him the color) also egg shell type paint so I could wash itTh epaint is the color and texture of white ceiling paintNot washableIf his guess was to cut tape joints and re-tape and mud, why didn't he give me an estimate for this? The estimate says it allThe only thing I did was a small drywall punch and skim out cracksIdid not hang the drywall to start withMy guess would be to cut tape joints out and re-tapeand mud, but my estimate did not say we was going to do thisI did go to house and sandedany rough edges that

this roof was not leaking, and we did have a lot of rain, I know he took soffit down to wash it and I seen him install a board back up under porch area where patch wasIf this is leaking again, he had to run a nail thru top roof when he was adding board to roofThen we removed a bearing wall underneath the deck that you couldn’t see without removing deckThe bearing wall was completely rotten outWe had to rebuild the whole entire thing out of treated lumber and insulate, 4ft tall x 10ft longWe took this project to the final stage, flooring, drywall, paintedWe had about hours left to do on inside to finish upIn pictures it shows windows that don’t have drywall around themWe were wrapping them with wood, so you would take wood around inside and trim on the outsideThat covers all your drywallThe windows we did discuss with ***, early as we found out, he said it was no problemThe light switches, we had to do stack light switches, because he added a heater, air conditioner, these were more add on’s than what the original wall hadWe would have to stick a 3-gang box in and it would not fitSo, me and *** decided to stack upAll white vinyl railing on outside was installed correctlyI can’t match a 10-year-old railing to new style railing todayHe didn’t say anything about railing, or we would have called insurance company and told them we couldn’t match railing90% of insurance company will replace everything if they can’t matchWhen *** said he didn’t need my service anymoreWe had this job done, there was probably about day left to finish job upI think *** and *** knew they could finish job from here and there was over $6,left, so they could pocket the moneyI just don’t understand why you would let the job go clear up to painting and floor in and every day they said it looked greatThey fed us lunch everyday that was greatly appreciated. I just think they knew they could finish the job and take the moneyI did return the door at Home Depot to try to get some of my money backEvery time I had to change something or needed an opinion, I asked *** to make sure everything is okI do have witnessesI did put a lean on *** and *** ***’s house of $3,I am on Angies’ list, my rating is an AI did contact the ***’s to fix everything that they wanted done and they didn’t want my serviceEverything was an easy fix Thank you for your businessChad J***, Owner Do-It-All Construction
