I called because my overflow valve was clogged and dripping waterTwo technicians showed up, looked at the unit, pointed out some rust on a couple of pipes and some corrosion on one of the coils and immediately started talking about how the unit was old (almost years old) and needed to be replacedWhen they found out I was a tenant and not the unit owner, one guy left and the other switched to pitching an annual service contractAfter the unit owner agreed, they ran one diagnostic, fixed the overflow problem and leftThey were supposed to send the owner an estimate for replacement but never did Meanwhile the owner had contacted FolsomMike, their tech, ran several diagnostic tests, explained what the readings meant, told us that the rust and corrosion were only cosmetic and meant nothing, and that this model of heat pump is one of the best around and should have many years of life leftHe showed us the readings that indicated that one capacitor should be replaced now and another soon, so we replaced bothTotal cost about $and the unit is running great Folsom is the real deal
