DIY Carbon Bikes

I bought a pair of wheels for my new blur. I sent Ty, the owner the link to my bike on because I am not a bike mechanic and he told me what I needed. Of course it was completely wrong and when I went to my bike mechanic he said the cassette doesn’t fit the driver so I m out $640 for the wheels and othe $44 for the failed mechanic service and they’re gathering dust in my garage. When I asked to make it right he claimed I told him it was a gx cassette. I have the email exchange and the Santa cruz site says the s tr build has the gx but not the r tr. so it’s bad enough that he screwed up but now he is trying to blow smoke up my as and waste my time. I would look elsewhere unless you want a hassle and wheels that don’t work.

I placed an order to purchase bicycle wheels on April 19, 2020 and made a payment of $640.00 which was processed shortly after I placed the order.
I still haven't received these wheels.
I complained to the business on May 16, 2020 and they told me that the wheels were being shipped from China and blamed the COVID 19 issue. I was never told that the wheels were going to be shipped and there was nothing in the business website that said they would be shipped from China.
The website also said there was a 2 year warranty. Since the wheels come from China, it is well known that warranties on goods shipped from China are very hard to process, therefore there really is no warranty.
I am unable to check the tracking information for the shipment. The only response the business has for this is that it is normal.
I am not even sure what the brand name of the rims on the wheels are and they are not likely to be good quality.
It has been 33 days. With the business not being forthcoming with the fact that the wheels are from China and only providing explanations of "that's normal". I do not trust anything they say at this point. Their responses were very self serving and dishonest.
