Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who stated that she they did perform the service the customer asked for. The reason the braids weren't to her satisfaction was because she had bought the wrong kind of hair to do the type of braids she asked for. She said that they gave the customer...
a pack of their hair, and used hers as well. She also stated the the customer did not ask for the braids to be all the way down, she wanted them to be curly on the end. She said that the service took 3 to 4 hours to complete, and they cannot refund the customer. She said that they are happy to complete the braids all the way down for an additional $50 since that was not the service she paid for. She is not due a refund as she had the service completed that she asked for.

Review: On July 23, 2015 I contacted Diva's African braiding to get my hair braided. I had a 9:00 appt. I told the women that I wanted small individuals braids with a curl on the end. I had the type of hair they had advised me to purchase and they told me the braids will look better if I returned that hair and got human wet and wavy hair. Before they got started braiding I told them that I DID NOT want micro braids because they kept referencing micro braids, they said they understood. Once my hair was done they wet it to make it curl. When they wet the hair, my hair went back into it's natural state and curled up. That's when I noticed that A. they gave me micro braids anyway B. they did not braid my hair to the end causing the braids to be frizzy. I asked them what could they do to fix it and they recommended that I go home and flat iron my hair to make it blend with the wet and wavy hair. I explained to them that I was getting the braids as a protective style and I did not want any of my hair exposed and I did not want to flat iron my hair that is why I was adamant that I DID NOT want micro braids. They told me to go home flat iron it and if I did not like it call them the next day and they will fix it. I called them at 800 in the morning only to get a sleepy voice stating I will call you when I wake up. Around noon time I still had not heard from them. I called and that is when she said she will call me back after she finished with the customer. I told her that I had somewhere to go at 6 pm. At 5pm I still had not received a call from her and decided to go over to her house. She came to the door naked with a towel only. They were hostile and was not attempting to find a solution. She was upset that I did not attempt to flat iron it. The solution they offered me was to braid my hair to the end for $50. This should have been done anyway. When I asked them to make it right they told me I one of thousands. They were very unprofessional. Don't use them!!Desired Settlement: The price of the braids was $200. The resolution offered was for me to pay $50 for them to finish the job.

Review: On August 14, 2014, I contacted Diva African Hair Braiding for their service for Marley twist special for $160. Three days later, my twist begin to slide out. On August 17, 2014 at 1:19pm, to inform the Divas african Hair Braiding of these matter, I was promised it would be corrected. The last form of communication was August 19, 2014, asking the date and time of availability and there was no response. It is now a week later still no responses, and I'm sure I will not. I feel used, just wish they were more professional.Desired Settlement: I feel they should give my money back, but I'm really doing this so they won't do this to no one else!!!!

Review: On Thursday March 26th, I scheduled an appointment with this business. The business had a special going on that if you prepaid you would get a discount. I delivered the funds of $180 to the business owners on March 25th. On the day of my appt, My appointment time was changed a total of 4 times by the beautician. At that point I asked for a refund. I informed the [redacted] that I would returning on Sunday April 5th to pick up my payment, however when I arrived I was told that they still needed to go to the ATM and I would get a call latter in the afternoon. I reached out because I did not receive a call, only to be informed that they were busy and they asked to meet me on Monday April 6th. I agreed. On my way to receive my payment, I got a message that they were not at home and I would get a text later. No text was received. I am beyond dissatisfied at this point.Desired Settlement: To receive my funds back
