Review: November 22, 2013RE: Furniture Discounter Mattress Dear [redacted]:I ordered a sofa, chair, and ottoman from Discount Mattress Capital Height, Maryland, in September 2013. The sofa, chair, and ottoman are currently financed through [redacted]. Bi-weekly the payments come from my checking account. For the above items, I paid a delivery fee in the amount of $69.00 to the delivery man, [redacted]. While the delivery man was at my home with the goods, me, my friend and the delivery man noticed damage to the sofa. I called the owner [redacted] at Discounter Mattress.The owner, [redacted] stated he would order me a new couch not a problem. I emailed the damaged sofa pictures to Tim.The next day when I called, the gentleman who works with [redacted] asked me to pay another delivery fee. I said no, and then he suggested, Discount Mattress would pay half the fee and I could pay the other half of the fee. Feeling pressured, I said, "okay". Then when I mentioned the deal to my friend, he asked, why are you paying another delivery fee and the couch is damaged. I called Discounter Mattress back and told the gentleman no, I am not paying a second delivery fee. The company should have checked the merchandise before it left the store.As of November 22, 2013, Discount Mattress has my sofa and I am paying [redacted] monthly from my checking account with automatic deduction and I do not have my sofa.Please advise.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the merchandise. I will return the chair, ottoman, and sofa. This is bad business.
