This review is a bit lengthy, but it is the details that make this worth the read:
We have a Discount Extended Service Plans (ESP) contract for our 2011 Harley TriGlide. We bought the plan in mid 2020 after talking to several friends who have their coverage as well. Around September 2020, with about 62K miles on the trike, we had a major engine failure internally which required a significant rebuild of a portion of the engine. Without an extended service plan in place, the cost for me to repair it would have well exceeded $2K. I cannot be more grateful for the first rate customer service and care provided to me by the team of Discount ESP.
While looking for an extended service plan to replace my current one that was expiring in mid 2020, of the four companies I was considering, I found that Discount ESP seemed to edge out over others when it came to overall component coverage, flexibility and clarity in contract verbiage, among other coverage elements.
The more I researched and talked to others that I knew had Discount ESP coverage, the better it sounded. I ended up with three years and the tire and road assistance, well below what I paid previously with another competitive company.
When purchasing the policy I dealt with Agent John. He was a breath of fresh air when compared to the agents of other companies I was considering; absolutely non-aggressive and engaging in conversation. He was upfront, thorough and knew his product. He presented well and was very professional during our several phone calls. I could not have asked for a better introduction (and first impression) to this company; I knew this was the right one if I was going to move forward and get an extended service plan.
A couple of months later, with a major engine failure, I contacted the company and spoke to Agent Jared. Getting someone on the phone to talk to was quick and easy. No more than ten minutes after we ended our call Jared contacted the repair shop where my trike was. Approval for repairs was nothing short of instantaneous. It all came together and parts were ordered.
What a great experience, what fantastic support. If not for Discount ESP it could have cost me thousands of dollars for repairs; worse yet, my trike days may have been on hold indefinitely.

I tried to purchase an extended warranty plan for my 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle via their website. After waiting 8 weeks without receiving the contract or warranty card, I felt if they were having problems with the easy stuff, I could only imagine the problems I would have when I had a claim. I called and e-mailed them on January 26th, and told them I didn't want their product and that I wanted a full refund of $1,535. They agreed and said I would get a full refund. So far, I've waited over 6 weeks and I still haven't received my refund. I've only received excuses and empty promises.
How old was your contract when you requested a refund was it past 60 days?
Reading my contract I see I have 60 days to request 60 days to request full refund. Not sure if I can ask part refund. I have a pending claim in right not and I am not sure how it's going to go but I am not hopful.
I purchased an extended warranty for my motorcycle from Discount ESP, when I sold my motorcycle in September 2019 I requested a refund of $1,749.10, still no refund and I am being told keep waiting
Discount ESP is a 3rd party sales organization that only sells extended service plan contracts for different administrators. The administrator that has your contract and is responsible for your refund is Assurant. The customer service team can be reached at *** on ***. For an urgent need a Supervisor is ***.
