Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was issued a receipt by the store and informed by the clerk who issued the receipt to call the number on the receipt to expedite my return The items were purchased from Discount Drug Mart and the items were scanned at the Courtesy Desk and each product was itemized on the receipt that I was given after the clerk scanned each item At first Discount Drug Mart made a claim that the items were purchased as part of a Pro Points Reward Program and now Discount Drug Mart is claiming that the items were not purchased there Discount Drug Mart is not delivering truthful information I am requesting a store credit for which I was given a receipt for.Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint ID [redacted] Dear ***, I apologize for the delay in my response, I was out of the office for a couple weeks then unfortunately was out ill We apologize to Ms [redacted] for any misunderstanding either by us or the person she received her gift from After looking into this complaint I have the following information: When the items were returned they were not found in our system as being sold at the store, there was no receipt or other information to identify what store location they may have been purchased or whenAt that time the request for return was turned into our Loss Prevention department to review for refund as is our policy I researched to find out what these items were since they weren’t included in the information given to you by Ms***I found out the items are [redacted] Nail products that were provided by one of our suppliers for our Pro Points ProgramA program where a customer may purchase item throughout the year and earn points to redeem for prizesOne of which a [redacted] Nail bagAfter further review we are unable to give Cash back for items a customer did not pay forWhen our Loss Prevention Department tried to reach Ms [redacted] at the number provided to us and on your Complaint, they heard the message that the number had been disconnectedThey tried a phone number we have on file for her [redacted] and reached a gentleman who said he didn’t know who she was, they had the wrong phone number We would like to let Ms [redacted] know that under the circumstances of someone else redeeming Pro Points for the items she requested a money back return we are unable to honor her requestWe are more than happy to return the items to Ms [redacted] at her convenience of picking up at our Fulton Rdstore locationIf she is unable to do so; we will mail the [redacted] Nail product to her at the address provided to you Please let me know if you have any other questions or anything else I can do to help resolve this complaintBest Regards, Laura Y [redacted] Discount Drug Mart Corporate Customer Service

additional information:
I called and explained to the customer that, unfortunately, this is a Medicare ruleThere isn’t anything we can do about itMedicare implemented a program several years ago called competitive bid in certain regions for certain pieces of durable medical equipmentWalkers and rollators were one of these items and Cleveland was one of these areasMedicare awarded a three year contract for walkers and rollators in Cleveland to specific providers and Discount Drug Mart was not one of those providersThe closest store of Discount Drug Mart’s that is NOT in the Cleveland market and is not affected by this rule is the Vermillion store which is where the customer was referredUnfortunately there is nothing Discount Drug Mart can do about this and the issue is with Medicare’s rules of who can and cannot provide equipment

Thank you for your prompt reply. This matter has been resolved and Drug Mart was not at fault. They were following Medicare rules under Medicare's competative bidding program. They are not a Medicare durable medical eqipment provider.  Evidently their employee did not know that.Thanks to you, she knows now.

Of course this number is not the number for Drug Mart, it is the number of a person hired ** Drug Mart to solicit for Drug Mart and He clearly states this in the conservation!!! I have file a complaint with the FTC and this matter is being investagated ** them as well.

be a sales representative from an outside entity that our company utilizes to reach out to local businesses with the purpose of selling advertising on our pharmacy bags.  We will follow up with this entity and make the appropriate people aware of Mr. [redacted]’s concerns. Although Mr. [redacted]’s business web page does have “No Solicitations Please” on the home page, it is located at the bottom of the page.  If the “Contact” tab is clicked on at the top of the page, which may be the only page that many of the users of the web page access, it is easy to miss the “No Solicitations Please” language at the bottom of the home page.  The “Contact” tab does not include any language whatsoever regarding solicitations.
