My name is *** and i'm currently having an issue with discord. I love this platform and use it every single day. This morning, started off really bad. I got an email saying that my account was disabled. There is no specification at all to why. I tried contacting them regarding this situation but the response I got was so vague and frustrating. There was no explanation to what I have done. I'm in many servers and I think one of the servers I was in must had people doing things they weren't supposed to. If that is the case why would I be affected. I had nothing to do with anything. I'm not even sure if that's the reason though. I just want help to get my account back. I can promise you that I haven't done any wrong. I use this platform to communicate with friends. I have read the terms of service and community guidelines and I have complied with everything. If I get my account back I will be more careful with the servers I join. I'll make sure they are legitimate servers and not servers made by anybody I don't know. I hope this explains everything.

Discord had disabled my account due to violation of the Terms of Service Agreement. I would be perfectly okay with this action if they had informed me of why this had happened. However they sent me a generic e-mail saying that my account is locked and when I had asked for the reason why, they have failed to provide one saying that I have received an e-mail earlier regarding why my account is locked, which I never received. As far as I know, I did not violate any ToS agreement and it was an unjustly action toward my account.

I ordered a service. The services did not turn on to work. for several days (over a week I requested them to just click the button to be able to use the service that they had already taken the money for and the time was ticking away on the paid for service closer and closer to the next payment with no resolve and don't seem to have attempted to resolve.
Im not stupid, I know it a button click on my account screen on their customer database. but that must have been to difficult to just resolve the issue and I would have been happy to wast the absurd amount of money getting barley anything. Since they did not help I contacted the place I paid via, discord promptly sent an extortion mail stating they banned my account due to the dispute, and that I had to withdraw my request for the refund or they would never un-ban my account. I have a physical copy of this I will attempt to attach. Its not in the least a veiled extortion its clear seem like copied from the lawyer day one handbook as the example of extortion.

I was on the official discord application, doing nothing wrong just texting in my server, and then randomly I got logged out of the account and redirected to the login page, I entered my details which then it told me to check my Gmail, I got an email saying I was detected by the systems anti-spam measures, which states this gets detected through a certain amount of direct messages and joining of guilds, which is not possible as I was busy doing other things (Texting friends in a guild), the system falsely flagged. I opened a support ticket which came back with no reply, so I opened a second one, same thing occurred. None of the support tickets submitted came back with a reply.

Several users doxxed, IP logged, hacked, impersonated, and even were offering to sell my personal information on their server. After several reports and tons of emails between Discord and I, these users are still active. The users are still active and Discord terminated MY ACCOUNT, the account being attacked! Not to mention we are about to lose any evidence we have for a criminal case. Discord is ignoring my emails and is refusing to respond.

I have had two accounts disabled by Discord service. I don't believe I've violated any of their Terms of Service, and so I challenged the action. I have only received one response, informing me that Discord "confirmed their was a ToS violation, and the account will not be reactivated".

I then requested information as to exactly what sort of Terms of Service violation occurred, but I never received a response. After waiting several weeks, I decided to file this complaint.

I ran a harm reduction community (a community that seeks to minimize the harm brought about from drug useage by spreading information and resources to people who need them) that had nearly 5000 member before Discord shut down the server and closed my account with zero warning or explanation at all. I spent the next three weeks emailing their trust and safety/support staff asking for an explanation of why we were shut down, only to be met with silence. When I finally got a response nearly a month later, all they said was "Drugs are harmful." I completely agree with that statement, the entire purpose of our server was to reduce that harm, not to promote drug use. We didn't allow any form of buying or selling drugs, we didn't encourage reckless behavior, we didn't even allow people to post pictures of their drugs. Yet we were shut down. I would like to add that this was not the first time there had been a misunderstanding, but the previous time I was told by Discord Trust and Safety team that as long as we didn't allow people to post pictures of illegal activity or allow buying or selling of drugs that we were not in violation of the Terms Of Service or Community Guidelines and we could continue running our server with no problems. Yet four years later, we get shut down without so much as a warning or an explanation of why.

My other point is that there are several other servers based around drugs that are not harm reduction servers, and yet they are allowed to exist without any trouble, but our server which actually helped people got shut down. If Discord Trust and Safety is going to shut down one server for being about drugs, they should shut down all of them. I feel singled out, ignored, and as though I have been treated extremely unfairly.
