The Direct Selling Association is not a business; we are a trade association that represents the direct selling industry. The DSA Code of Ethics is a self-regulatory code that our companies must abide by. It is administered by an independent attorney that is not an employee... of DSA. The Code Administrator has the sole responsibility to handle complaint and make determinations about whether a complaint is a violation of the Code of Ethics and what remedies might be appropriate. DSA doesn't see or handle complaints and is not typically even aware of complaints unless they are brought to our attention by the complaining party. We have not authority to overrule the Code Administrator. We are sorry the individual is not satisfied with the resolution of their complaint. The relationship between a direct selling company and an independent contractor is contractual in nature. If an individual is not satisfied with the DSA Code of Ethics complaint process, they are free to take any other actions including filing a complaint against the company with the BBB to seek to resolve the complaint.
