The client had purchased a USED cabinet and as per our contract we put all NEW lamps in the cabinet and the sign was tested in our shop and it illuminated 100% before it was taken out to be installed at the clients' location. Once the cabinet...

had been in place for approximately 60-90 days the client called to say the sign wasn't lighting. So we sent a crew to the site to see what the problem was. It was determined that the "OLD" ballast had went bad and we therefore advised the client of what the cost would be for a new ballast to be installed. The client than declined to pay the cost for the new ballast so we didn't replace the old ballast to bring the sign up to 100% illumination. There was never any warranty offered, proposed or discussed at the time of sale. Obviously we can't ever warranty an "old and used" ballast because there is no way to determine how long they may or may not last.
