DFW Discount Diesel Repair

The truck was taken to DFW Discount Diesel after it broke down on the highway and fell off the back of the wrecker that picked it up. We suspected it was the alternator but since it was now an insurance issue because of the wrecker wench breaking and the truck sliding off the wrecker damaging the undercarriage of the truck. We were overcharged for the alternator (charged for a new and received a refurbished)(charged 5 hours of labor, should have been 2). Truck had to be jump started when we picked it up. Alternator was not working had it tested and it tested bad. Driveshaft was damaged but was not detected at first, we took the truck back were told they would replace the driveshaft. We picked the truck up again to discover the driveshaft was not replaced but re-tubed and not balanced.(we were charged for a new driveshaft and 4 hours labor. 2 of those were drive time to pick it up). The air intake was also damaged during the installation of the alternator. New intake pipe is roughly $225.00. So we paid $1062.76 for a bad refurbished alternator and faulty installation, more than twice what we were told it would be. We paid $1230.89 for our own driveshaft that had not been repaired properly. (was told it was new)
