I talked to the customer, we are meeting next week on Wednesday, to resolve any outstanding issues
I called this company out several times over several weeks when it would rain and leak, and each time they told me that they fixed it. Never did they say that there were other problems and each time they told me they found an issue with their previous repair and that they had fixed it. It didn't rain for a long time and when it finally did rain, it leaked again the very same way it had originally before they had repaired it, and at this point they stopped returning my calls. Since I could not get hold of this company, I was forced to hire another company to come out and take a look at the roof and they said that the previous company, (This company in question), did not flash the chimney properly. They removed the previous company's work (this company), and re-shingled the roof and reflashed the chimney. This company never provided any written information on what they did, nor any information regarding cracks in the masonry. Each time they came out, they told me that they had found the problem with the leak and "fixed" it. Why would they come out each time and tell me they found a problem and fixed it if it was a masonry problem that I was supposed to have fixed by a mason? I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute. They said [redacted] fixed it. That's not true! [redacted] said he would contact me and...
repair it the next week. That was well over a month ago! [redacted] has my number and will not return my calls.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.
Regards,
[redacted]
It's unfortunate you hired another company because we would have continued to honor our warranty. My partner did not feel "ok" with just not responding and saying we told you want is wrong with the issue. We wanted to be sure that it was not leaking from the area we fixed. Since that is the area that was "re-shingled" by this another company, and the chimney was "Re-flashed" by this another company, that again tells us the area in question was correct. To shingle and flash a roof is something [redacted] has been doing for almost a decade, so there is no way, someone else did it better (it does not require that much of an expertise). The hardest part is to know where the leak is, not to cover it up. The third time [redacted] came out with two our experienced guys for another opinion, just in case. Also, we did give them a recipient, that has a description of the work, that is still in our accounting software. It;s not that its hard to get a hold of us. We reserve Fridays as the day in which we do "warranty" when we have to. Again, we fixed the part of the roof that was damaged. We had an agreement between three roofers that the leak was coming from the chimney area in the back of the house.
