Dear [redacted],      I regret that you did not find the experience in my practice worth the investment.  I do not participate with insurance companies to reduce the cost, and the quality of service, such that it fits within a corporation’s definition of what patients...

deserve.  I have always and will continue to offer my patients choice to have better than what an insurance company defines for them as health care.  Your letters to the Attorney General of Washington Consumer Protection Division and the Revdex.com do not question the level of service you received, thank you for that, and I can say without reservation that we enjoyed meeting you and spending time with you in the office, you seem like a great guy and I appreciate the opportunity to have met you.  While I cannot dispute your experience or your feelings, please know that none of us, including Marlene, ever offers to any of the patients we have the privilege to serve that we are “in network” with their plans because we are not, and never have been.  We “accept” any benefit plan that allows the participants to see any dentist they choose, which yours does, thank them for that freedom.  Your confusion regarding “acceptance” and “in-network” is something I could not have anticipated from someone who has “worked within the medical field for greater than 20 years and have been a billable provider for greater than 14 years”, and the balance is legally and fully your responsibility.     Given your confusion, I have removed said balance from your account as a good will gesture and will not move forward with a claim in court.
