Review: I went to Delta Room Rentals located at [redacted], on Sunday at 12pm and spoke with a sales representative. I explained to him that I needed a room for rent on that day but I couldn't view rooms until 5pm when I get out of school. He told me not to worry about it and to come back after class but wanted me to start the paper work and collect a finders fee. When I went back the place was closed. I look online before going back and there hours of operations online states that they are open from 11am to 4am on Sundays. I was mislead and I would like to be refunded for a service I did not receive. Thank you!Desired Settlement: I was mislead and I would like a refund.

Review: I was looking for a room to rent and found an advertisement on [redacted]. I was looking to pay $150-170 per week for a room. I called the number listed and they wanted me to come into their office. They told me they could find me a room and I had to fill out a form. I put my name and telephone number. I told them I was looking for a room with a weekly rent of $150-$170 per week. They told me I have to pay $150.00. I paid them and after they gave me two phone numbers and told me to call them to find a room. I called the first phone number and the person told me they had a room for rent for $250 a week. The second number I called was never any answer. I am an immigrant from Europe and my English is intermediate, but I am new when it comes to trying to find housing. I went into Delta Room Rentals on December **, 2015. I have not found a room. I showed the form that I have to my American friend and she told me that it looks suspicious. She works in real estate and landlord/tenant matters and said that they could be illegal rooms and there are laws in the City of New York that protect tenants and applicants. On the form that I signed it says that after 14 days they have to place me in a room for an additional fee. I have the paper that I signed and I do not understand why I had to pay $150.00 to be given two phone numbers. The company has not tried to place me in a room, they just took my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to what I paid. The business did not offer any services more that what I am doing myself. They did not advertise they were brokers (as my friend told me) or that I would have to pay for services. They advertised a room for rent.
