Review: [redacted] was hired to add an addition to our home for my mother and a closet in an unfinished room in the basement. The addition was completed in August 2013. The addition required adequate heating and air condition system. In July of 2014 we noticed condensation/water build up on the ceiling tiles in the closet where my clothes was hanging. We called the sub contractor [redacted] who installed the heating and air condition which he didn't respond right away. Prior to his visit we contacted Hygiene Consulting because there was a growth in the closet on the walls and on some of my clothes and leather shoes. The consultant said it was mold and mold is attracted to leather. He said we called in time and explained how to clean it up. He also advised us to get a dehumidifier. [redacted] the subcontractor said the pipes in the ceiling where my clothes were hanging should have been insulated by [redacted] when he finished the closet so he had his worker insulate the pipes. Now July 2015 the condensation/water has returned. When we called [redacted] he didn't return the call so then we were advised to call [redacted] the contractor. We called him he came out to assess the problem Wednesday, August 12, 2015 and promised to get back to us. In the meantime he calls [redacted] the heating and air condition person and he came out and said the real problem is that [redacted] the contractor didn't seal off the crawl space and that's why we're experiencing moisture and he also said that water is in the crawl space. Mr. [redacted] isn't concern since he's gotten paid he's not devoted to customer satisfaction. He wants his money and then he runs. I've sent him a certified letter discussing the problem in detail and he hasn't picked up the letter from the post office. No one was at his business to sign the letter. So what kind of business does he run? In the letter not only did it lay out the problem, but he has 5 days to correct the problem. We're hoping he will do the right thing, but if not we are seeking legal methods. Mr. [redacted] isn't a competent contractor. He doesn't take pride in his work and his website isn't accurate in describing his work ethics. He really shouldn't be in business. I should have never trusted him.Desired Settlement: Mr. [redacted] should take responsibility for the problem. He needs to address the two problems: 1. Condensation/water coming from the crawl space and coming in through the pipes. 2. water in the crawl space that has settled and not just put a band aid over the problem but fix the problem so we won't have any future issues..
