Review: The reason for this complaint is about a recent visit at the eye clinic in January and they way they billed for it. I asked for a normal preventative eye yearly exam, in which they scheduled. I went in for my appointment had my eyes examined told them there were no issues. I then get billed for which they are saying are medical problems. I asked what they were and they said there were three diagnoses codes (dry eye, clogged eye duct, and I have a small growth on my eyelid) These three codes were diagnosed the previous year (2014). I didn't complain about these issues and most likely they will be the same issue next year. I called and talked to the practice manager and explained to her my issue. She stated that I saw an ophthalmologist not an optometrist. Being that I saw an ophthalmologist they can not charge my vision insurance because she is a specialist. My main complaint is that I didn't schedule a medical visit I scheduled a preventative yearly exam and no one in their office in the last two years told me any different between the doctors and what they are or how they charge their visits. When I asked the manager if that I will be charged every year for the same issues because they are not going to go away she said yes as long as they are still present I will be charged. I don't understand how they can charge for the same dx over and over and over again when I'm not going in for those, they are not issues and not going anywhere. She was very rude and said that they do not bill illegal, I said I didn't say they were illegal they are just unethical to bill for the same thing over and over when I'm not complaining about them and just want a routine preventative exam and shouldn't be billed for things I already knew and wasn't complaining about.Desired Settlement: I would really wish to not have to pay the balance on my account and that my medical be reimbursed for any charges they covered for something that shouldn't be billed to them.
