Review: On October 24, 2014, I went on line to find an aut glass company to replace the rear window ,driver's side, on my 1998 Mercedes Benz E 320 4matic.
I called Delaware Auto Glass, spoke to a man named [redacted] who told me the job would cost $195.00 and demanded a deposit of $100.00. I didn't have a problem with the deposit because the Website states "We will meet or beat any written estimate for you auto glass replacement from any company in Delaware." I gave him the deposit via credit card. Five minutes later I received a writtenestimate from [redacted] Company, also in Newark who gave me a written estimate for $168.31. I called [redacted] back to let him know about [redacted]'s written estimate. [redacted] refused to "meet or beat the price".
" Oh, it's a Mercedes. It's going to take 3 hours." It took 45 minutes like the guy on You Tube said" I told him if the add was for some cars and not all, then the ad should have stated some or most cars. I asked hime to credit my card and he told me it was non-refundable, which he did not state before the deposit was given.Desired Settlement: I want him to honor what the website promises and issue a $26.69 credit to my credit card or mail me acheck for $26.91 OR remove that statement from the website.

Response:
No problem, We have our website builder modifying it as we speak. (We will meet or beat any written estimate for your auto glass replacement from any company in Delaware) on our web site. After talking to [redacted] he told me that the customer did not state that they had a written estimate, just a better price from [redacted] auto glass. We hear that 20 times a day in this economy. That doesn't make it right or wrong, it's just bad business on our part. I'm truly sorry for the mistake and have talked to [redacted] about the proper way to handle this in the future. Please have the customer call us for a refund of $26.91
Thanks again,

Review: contacted Delaware Auto Glass appx. 3/19/14 to have a windshield replaced on my '07 Chevy Impala. Was advised by the rep that the company could come to my place of work and remove and replace the windshield for $240(w/$100 deposit) on 3/24/14. Rep stated that someone would call the day of the job and give me a 2 hour window for services to be rendered. I was contacted by the repairman that he would be at my job site at 1030am. I advised him that I was in a meeting with a client and asked if he could allow me until 11am to get back to my office, he said, "no". He then instructed me to contact the office to reschedule or I could take my vehicle to the shop. I advised him that this was not acceptable and that I would reschedule to have the service completed another day. I contacted the company 3/25/14 to attempt to reschedule and did so with the rep [redacted]) he then called me back within 2minutes and advised me that they would not honor the service at my home and said I need to come into the shop to have the service completed because his repairman stated I threatened him to be at my place of work by 12pm on 3/24/14. note: This threat never happened on my end. I called back to the shop to speak with the owner and was advised that he was on the road. I asked that he contact me immediately. I called back an hour later and asked to have my $100 deposit returned and he said no. I asked why, he said because you were rude to my repairman and threatened him. A back and forth conversation ensued and Scooty placed me on hold without warning, he came back and the back and forth continued and[redacted] hung up. At this point I do not want to do business with this company and would like my deposit refunded to me. This company's reps have called me a "liar" and attacked my character. another note, [redacted] said he believes his coworkers over any customer. this is an unfair practice when dealing with customers as most know there are two sides to every story.Desired Settlement: $100 deposit refunded and a letter of apology from the owner with signatures from [redacted] and the assigned repairman who insisted I threatened him and called me a liar.

Response:
case was settled on 3/27/2014. A full refund was give to [redacted]. I'm truly sorry I wasn't available handle the call from [redacted] when it came in. It would have been handled differently. AS a new Business I work out of the office most days and don't get the chance to deal with issues until the next morning. Please except my apology on this issue and in the future I will try to handle issues quicker. Thank Your very Much , [redacted]
