The initial service of replacing a hot water tank was acceptable. I questioned why they had installed an additional shot off valve on each line, not removing the original shot off valve. Since everything appeared to be working fine, it wasn't that big of a problem to me. However, not quite a year later, I opened the door to that storage area noticing that the hot water line was corroded. Apparently there had been a minor leak which had run down the line and corroded the connections on the line. The repair man that was sent to look at the situation stated he would never have installed it that way. I assumed that the service would be covered at no charge. I received a bill of $116 three weeks later. When I inquired, I was told that the leak was from the original connection, not the one installed by them. The original connection did not leak until their installation. I believe they may have loosened the original connection during installation of the new lines. The repairman that came the second time said that if I hadn't caught the problem the flexible line on the sharkbite would have eventually corroded and sprayed water all over the place. I don't appreciate having to pay an additional charge for their repairmen's shoddy work.
