Review: Decor remodeling INC. painted my apartment a few months ago. The apt was painted for the purpose of subleasing. I paid for the job in full with cash on 5/*/14. After my prospective tenant brought to my attention his desire to have the nails on walls removed, I immediately realized that I overlooked the fact that the nails should have been removed in the first place!! I contacted [redacted] right away re the issue, I asked that he remove all nails, Spackle, and touch up w paint; he responded by saying "sure, no problem.. but I don't know when", and I expressed to him that the tenant hope to move in by 11/*. I accepted his word that he would go back to complete the work as needed, and it was written into the lease agreement. I have subsequently contacted [redacted] on 10/**, at which time he expressed to me that he's short handed and required more time; but would do his best to get in there on 10/**/14. I waited again for approximately a week, and became anxious, as [redacted] is no longer responding to texts or calls. He finally did respond to my text on 11/*/14. He was very nasty, he began to curse and lie. He indicated to me in his texts on 11/* that he's fulfilled his contract, I paid him and he's done. If I wanted the work done, I'd have to 'wait my turn', he also stated that I will be charged for the work. None of what he said were true or had EVER been discussed-- I would not remain so patient and wait for him had that been his original response. He knows, he promised he would go and finish the job so that my tenant can move in, and he said he'd do it as soon as he has time (ALL CONTRACTORS guarantee their work for a period of time!!) His entire sales pitch revolved around the notion that he is always around, and he's willing to take care of any small issues that may come up. Please be advised that [redacted] had been a door man in our building for over 13 years. We have a long history together, I NEVER imagined he would make a promise to do something for me, and turn around and say something completely different 2 weeks later!! It is disheartening. I have email communications to reflect that he must paint all walls including 'behind the bed'; and behind the wall units (as tenants will likely move in with his own furniture). He didn't do that... He removed the head board, painted over the nails and hung it back on... those were NOT my instructions. I have communicated to him (in text) that the job as it stands is INCOMPLETE. He did NOT remove any of the nails as discussed; he painted over them instead. I was very clear on that the walls need to be bare and smooth... He rushed the job--didn't finish the work, didn't leave any spare paint, I overlooked the deficiencies (paid him), he promised me on 10/** that he will go back and finish the work, he stalled for 2 weeks, got very nasty on 11/* and is trying to back out of his obligations. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!Desired Settlement: I would like him to finish the job within ONE WEEK!! I have been very patient and understanding with [redacted] and his staffing problems (because I've known him for a very long time and can empathize). I expect him to honor his word and perform the balance of the work as soon as possible. The work that is required not only falls under normal contractor's warranty, he also personally agreed to do it. PLEASE HELP!!

Review: We provided a deposit check of $7500 on ** June 2014 to the [redacted] to renovate a small bathroom in our daughter's apartment.

Work was not performed as agreed. The co-op where my daughter resides allows 34 hours/week of work time and the [redacted] performed 2-4 hours/week from mid August to * October, when at our request, the [redacted] of the co-op no longer allowed the [redacted] in the building. Prior to * October the [redacted] refused to answer our phone calls or meet with us.

We have photos, email correspondence, and text messages, that the [redacted]: did not perform the work, admits to not performing the work, and has agreed to pay a compromise reimbursement of $3000. The [redacted] had agreed to provide bank checks in that amount on several occasions and has failed to do so.

We were informed that the in small amount of work that was performed some of the work was not in compliance with building regulations.Desired Settlement: We would like the Revdex.com to help us obtain from the [redacted] an immediate payment of the agreed upon amount of $3000; in a one-payment bank check.

The [redacted] is currently using the Revdex.com in promoting his business on [redacted] in a possible violation of Revdex.com policy and also in a fraudulent manner.

We would like the Revdex.com to view the [redacted]'s bizarre [redacted] page. Just [redacted] the company's name.
