Deco truss was delivering in my neighborhood and the driver who was clearly not certified to be driving he large flat bed trailer failed to steer the truck and trailer to avoid going into the ditch and getting stuck. This was in front of my home and created a large divot and ruined the grass and surrounding landscape. After our other neighbor even helped pull the tractor trailer out the driver was increasingly rude and not helpful after receiving help to get his truck out the rut.
I called the office and they admitted the driver did ruin my lawn but said good it's too bad there is nothing that I can do. I am going to be held responsible from my neighborhood for the damage that the business caused on my lawn.
This driver was clearly negligent in his driving and the manager was extremely rude and also should be held responsible for not following the law and hiring drivers with a commercial drivers license.
Repair The lawn in front for the home needs to be repaired or replaced.
Ms. ***, seems to be an individual that has nothing better to do than complain and look for problems where there is none. Yes, we delivered trusses across the street. Yes, one of the neighbors help our driver, because the grass was wet and our driver did not want to dig into the grass by spinning the tires. Our driver was very nice to the neighbor, which is the reason the neighbor help with his tractor
and we did not have to call a tow truck. Unfortunately the road in said neighborhood is very narrow for a tractor trailer and the driver had to drive on the easement, NOT her property, when exiting property; due to the swing required to make turn. Our driver is very qualified and holds a clean CDL Class A Florida Driver's License. Tractor Trailer, per DOT Rules had to be used due to size of delivery load. Owners across the street are building a new horse barn and the trusses had to be delivered on a 48' trailer, again per DOT Rules. The Easement is the area between road and her fence line. No damage was done to the grass, no ruts were made. Ms. threaten that if we did not repair she would call the police. I explain to her she was welcome to call the police that they would explain that the reason for the setback/easement is to allow traffic / vehicle a safety area, plus people can park out there if needed. Further more, we have pictures to prove the above that nothing was damaged. Should Ms *** had a better attitude I would have sent my employees there to make her happy or paid the contractor doing the work across the street, to make her happy. Unfortunately her demeanor was very aggressive.
