Upon sitting in a presentation for two hours, no one advise me that my husband needed to be presentation after he only stayed in half the time Customer service did not try to accommodate me for sitting two hours with my eight-month-old baby through a two hour presentation The facilitator informed me that I could continue if I was able to make decisions in my household The facilitator informed me that I could continue if I was able to make decisions in my household I am formed the facilitator that I was the decision-maker and yes I could continue the presentationAfter the two hours, I was told I would not get my gift of the cruise that was promised
I was traveling with Choice Hotels quite frequently in the past year and a half; during a phone call to the Choice Hotels customer service I was offered a stay for $at a BlueGreen Vacation resort plus $gift cardI WAS told that we would have a hour presentation for a timeshareI was told that we would be in the timeshare hotel during this callI was told that the hour presentation would be the second day of our stay and that it would be scheduled when we booked our reservation When I called to book the reservation, they had 'difficulty' finding dates that would work, so we changed our desired dates multiple timesThen we were told that we could not be booked for the presentation until we checked into the hotel upon arrivalThis prevents us from making reservations for attractions we are intending to visit We booked our flights then saw that unless we spent more money, we actually would be housed in another city across from the French Quarter and not owned by Choice Hotels or BlueGreen Vacations We did not find out about the location issue (Which we estimate would cost us an additional $in transportation fees to go to and from the French Quarter one time per day" until after we booked our flightI'm guessing they bet on you spending more money to "upgrade" to the actual hotel since "we've already spent $for the stay [plus any other costs], guess we are stuck"Not for usWe are booking a hotel in the French Quarter that will not cost us 2+ hours of time in a sales pitch, cancelling this reservation with BlueGreen and may just decide to take the $lossWe are not 'wealthy', but the headache we've already had leave no doubt as to the kind of service we'll get should we have decided to buy from them
Bluegreen employee purposely lied about purchasing point back due to the fact that the customer did not want to own bluegreen share any longer When I originally was approached about bluegreen it was at the [redacted] 's restaurant on Kings Hwy in [redacted] BeachI expressed to the presenter that I was not interested but instead and that I did not meet any of the mandatory requirements to own sharesI was coached by the presenter which I later felt pressured to say certain things such as being married when I was not and being the age limit which was which I was also not at the timeAt the time of purchase my sale rep would say certain things such as I have to be careful what I say around certain cameras and continued to pressure/ push the timeshare on me(Jan2015) I met with a gentlemen at the harbor light resort around March which I expressed that I did not like the bluegreen and wanted to know how I could get rid of itHe in return stated that he could purchase the
With out going to details on all the issues I have encountered with this company, I would like to comment by saying that I am also a victim just like many of the members who are posted their reviews on this page I was told my maintenance fee would be about $per year with a maximum rate increase of 3-5% per year but sent me the first bill close to $including a hidden fee never been mentionedGod knows how much would be next year and a year after Due to the issue I had during the first contract, I was invited to attend a membership upgrade program conducted at Baltimore, MD to provide me more benefit for less monthly premium by providing me interest free Blue Green vacation credit card I was told I had been approved and would receive the card via mail but never happened after they made me sign the contractInstead, my monthly payment went up by almost twice In general, Blue Green is a corporation equipped with the most deceptive personnel to ruin your life just to make their dollarsBe careful not to be cheated by their sugar coated deal you hear from them I wish I have known what I know about this company a bit earlierI would have never been cheated or being a victim of their lies My desired settlement with the company is to look into request I have made to release me from the contract they have engaged me based on their promises
Misleading information was provided to me when I was being sold this package I was talked into taking a two days vacation for free on one my visits to Bass Pro Shops During this 'free' weekend I was told I needed to attend a presentation It took hours of constantly talking and promises and haggling to get me to buy this vacation package What they 'told me' and what they 'sold me' was day and night I've ended up paying dollars every month and over dollar in maintenance fee for two weekends every two years I retired and I went back to them asking if I could just return my purchase and I was flat out told they did not do that Now I'm stuck and the only way out will have an impact on my credit for the next seven years I was not given an opportunity to think this through and was not even able to ask questions, they never stopped talking!!! I'm almost years old, how many people like me do they do this to??
I was told that I would recieve a free cruse, no black out dates.when I tried to book, nothing available this yearPresentation went hours over Presentation went hours over the min I was promisedTried to book our, (free cruse), they said that nothing was available for my voucher this year
In May my husband and I visited Bass Pro Shop and was approached by a Bluegreen travel representativeWe agreed to visit Big Cedar in Branson MO for a minute sales pitch and $cash; upon completing the sales pitch meeting we would earn $in gift cardsOur family arrived at Big Cedar in July and attended our sales meetingOur two daughters were left in a small room while we attended our meeting, our minute meeting turned into hours of back and fourthWe were wore down and felt like we wouldn't be able to leave until we purchased somethingFinally we agreed on XXXXX biannual pointsAn hour after that, now hours after our initial meeting, no breakfast or lunch, our girls still waiting for us to return we were finally on our wayWe weren't allowed to see our children or contact them while we were negotiatingMy youngest, age thought we left her and my year old was upset that we had plans that we never got to follow thru withWe missed our reservations for our boat rental (out $deposit), our family was hungry and exhaustedOur vacation was no longer a vacation but something we were ready to escape fromOur girls were sad and felt like the entire trip was lost due to us "sitting in a meeting for hours"OH! lets not forget the $in gift cards we were to receive for attending the sales presentation, Yep! We werent going to get them if we didnt purchase, and you cannot not purchase and think about your options because the price will go up tomorrow and you will lose additional benefits if you dont purchase RIGHT NOW! Fast forward a few weeks, we're back home and we finally received our welcome packet from BluegreenOH WAIT! our "return" window had expiredImagine that!! During our sales pitch, we were told we could use the points we were purchasing for everything we'd need to vacation, cars, flights, food, hotels and we could even stay at RCI locationsWe were told that nightly stays for a bedroom runs about points per night, We determined this is a LIE! We cannot book anything less than points per night for our family, and there is a night minimumWhich means we only get nights every other year for $15,plus yearly maintenance fees and dues Such a rip offPer customer service, the only way to enjoy more is to buy more and more Bluegreen sells you on making things personal, spending time with family and those you loveThey do not take NO for an answer and they LIE and LIE some more to get your moneyI cannot say enough negative things about our experience and the way we were treated by the staff at BluegreenTo hold a parent or child hostage, smh! Shame on you Bluegreen!! The "vacation" was not worth the hassle and you have to sell your sole to leaveDONT DO IT!
and deceptive advertising Through a partnership with Choice Hotels that I am a member of because of work travel, I was offered a "deal" with Bluegreen for a Smoky Mountain getaway As I listened to the Bluegreen rep tell me about what they were offering, I asked several questions because I knew of timeshare ripoffs One big concern I asked was where I could use the product The rep told me at any available Bluegreen resort or one of their affiliates in the Smoky Mountain area Thinking a small vacation (after attending their sales presentation) would be perfect in the fall, I decided to purchase the day/night package for $on May 3rd Towards the end of July, we decided to inquire about a possible trip the first part of October Unbeknownst to us, Bluegreen only has resorts in the area When I called and talked with a reservationist, they told me there was no availability and that the package I had purchased was only for hotel accommodations at a Sleep Inn or
Bluegreen's staff deceived us in every aspect of this purchaseTheir most egregious act was the boldface lies that prevented us from cancelling Early last year, we were enticed to attend a sales presentation at the World of Golf in StAugustine with [redacted] gift cards and a promotional vacation Although we stated that we were not interested and could not afford a luxury purchase, Bluegreen's sales staff doggedly pursued the sale Eventually, we acquiesced and purchased; only to later learn that most of what we had been told was either an exaggeration or an outright fabrication For the next two days after signing, I told them that I was not happy with the purchase and I did not want it I was told "sorry" and that all sales are final Since the sales team never mentioned anything about cancelling, I was not aware of my ability to cancel without cause We did not learn about the rescission period until it was too late to exercise my right to cancel So, after they lied to
I can comment on customer service and the *average [redacted] need for vacationing: CUSTOMER SERVICE: We DID NOT have a single issue with our cheto our hotel stay deal that we purchased at discount because of the timeshare offerWe LOVED to mini vacation we tookThe presentation was very company-positive and gave positive information, but was more based towards those people who must vacation often enough annuallyWhen it came time, after the seminar, to discuss different packages and rates the staff were very nice and quite helpful in answering our questionsOur guide was very positive, but I must say the salesman was visibly pressured to get us to buy SOMETHING SALES: My husband and I would be considered low to median class earningWe vacation a few times a year, but often stay locally within our state of Florida and we usually look for money-saving dealsSo we did not purchase a timeshare, but we did purchase a "sampler" packageThe salesman advised we could use X amount of points, and average weekend stays at locations averaged X amount of pointsWell, being in Florida that standard is not so trueAfter receiving the package we quickly learned we were NOT benefiting from the sampler and decided we wanted a refund within the allowed time framethe phone number for the correct department was hard to obtain, but once we did we had NO issues getting a refund in FULLSo we are quite happy the refund process was so smooth OUR ADVICE: Try the sampler you can use the money you spent on the sampler and apply it towards a timeshare purchase should you decide that is for you Also look into buying other people's timeshare packages they have for sale rather than buying brand newGood Luck!

Bluegreen took advantage of my active duty military status with fraud, deception, and misrepresentation leading to products not delivered as agreed On January 2, 2017, myself, [redacted] ***, and my husband, [redacted] ***, initiated a contract with Bluegreen Vactions, account number XXX-XXX-XXXXXX after purchasing a "dollar vacation" from a mall kiosk promising a free cruise after attending a one hour presentation during our trip to Las Vegas, NV My husband, between jobs, purchased it as a cheap birthday gift for me and We were lied to from the time of purchaseWe were forced to sit through a two hour presentation then were not allowed to leave until we sat with a sales representative named [redacted] for another five hours [redacted] pressured us and bullied us into signing a contract, promising us that we would benefit from it and coerced us at a weak point in our marriage, that vacations were exactly what we neededHe played us against one another, telling my husband that a "good
Paid for a vacation, found out its a timeshare scheme, decided not to use the vacation Get constant calls from them after I told them to stop Paid several hundred dollars for a vacation, which I supposedly won, found out its a timeshare scheme, decided not to use the vacation and let it expire Get constant calls from them after I told them to stop because I wasn't interested
My wife and I took advantage of a three day stay at B/G in Lincoln, NHThe stipulation was, of course, that we attend a two hour presentation /interview with the goal of creating a willingness on our part to become a buyer of their vacation planWe had attended this type of business invitation with two or three other similar companies, and the experience was not pleasant, since these other firms exerted somewhat severe pressure to buy a plan, and most of these past experiences created enough stress to make the deal unpalatable, and the experience painful Not so with Bluegreen! Their main emphasis toward potential clients is to be truthful, congenial and NOT press the customer to make them buyRather, to attract the clients with plain and simple talk and let them decide, without constant, immediate pressure to do so They did a very good presentation, most of which was delivered and explained very well by a lovely and very knowledgeable and effective young ladyWe were then taken on a full tour of the facilities by a polite young man who also assisted the young lady in explaining the various plans available and the costsI believe the cost examples they presented were fairly accurate, and not low-ended as some competitors are known to do The facility in Lincoln, NH is clean, roomy and well equipped, and we very much enjoyed our three day stayWe believe that the other Bluegreen facilities are similarly attractiveWe did not, unfortunately, purchase any of their plans, since our mode of vacations and travel does not lend itself to what they offer; however, we were pleasantly surprised and very comfortable with the entire experienceIf Bluegreen's other locations present their plan to potential buyers as well as the Lincoln staff did, I would highly recommend giving them the opportunity to assist finding the vacation plan that is best for you!
I along with another individual purchased a Timeshare through Bluegreen Vacations in May of and have been significantly disappointed in not only the service given but also lack thereofWe were given a misrepresentation of the sale, including but not limited to, a lack of availability any time we were to try and make reservations, lack of knowledge when it came to the maintenance fees and club dues, sales tactics that would be unbearable for anyone to have to encounter that left us feeling defeated, exhausted and no way of an out without consentingI have made multiple attempts to be released from this awful money trap to no availWe thought we were dealing with genuine individuals and receiving this "new and great adventure" only to have them continue to take my money without usage and also continue failed service throughout this entire torturous "new and great adventure" It all began when we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC and stopped by Bass Pro ShopWe were approached by a Bluegreen Travel representative, agreed to sign up to listen to an hour presentation on a "weekend getaway" where we only had to pay the taxes and would receive gift cards upon signing up to listen to themWe walked away thinking, "Wow! This is going to be great! A cheap trip that we could take his daughter on and only have to sit through an hour? What could go wrong?" Well, everythingOnce arriving at the "hour presentation" we were told that his daughter had to go into a separate room and led us to the conference roomWe listened to the presentation for a little over an hour and were then led to another room with a designated sales representative to "go over" different packagesAfter an additional hour, we asked to have his daughter brought to us and they responded with asking us to wait until we were done and that it wouldn't take much longerOnce the second hour (totaling in three so far) we had to demand to have her brought to usWe wound up sitting there for a total of six-seven hoursThere were multiple times where we would say no, and he would in return fire back with something that they would "gift us with"Or he would have another rep come over and discuss moreWe were exhausted, hadn't eaten since breakfast *before [redacted] the presentation and his daughter was extremely ready to go, as you could imagineEach time we said we would think about it and get back into contact at a later date, or just flat out said nothey would bombard us with something elseIt ranged from additional "free" RCI weeks, adding the cruise or yacht clubAnything to get us to say yesBecause we were so mentally and physically exhausted from the going back and forth, having nothing to eat and feeling as though we would not be able to leave without consenting, we agreed to a biannual point packageOur day had been ruined and at that point all we wanted to do was eat, go to bed and drive homeUpon arriving at dinner, the same sales representative called and asked us to come backLong story short, there were multiple attempts by him with phone calls to get us to come back to sign additional paperwork that he had "forgotten"We argued, finished dinner, went back, signed the paperwork and leftHe did not go over it nor give us copiesThe only time we have "used" the Timeshare is when we were told we had to go back to an additional presentation pursuant to our terms and conditions of the contractThis involved them trying to up-sell us to buy additional pointsThey used the same sales tactics which in result led to myself having to fake an emergency phone call to get us out of thereFurther, I work for the State; therefore, there is not much time that I can just take off and have to plan vacations fairly earlyDuring the following year, we continuously tried to call and make reservations at different locations and different times months in advanceThere has never been any availabilityEach time we were directed to other locations that we wanted no part in and had no service given as to what we, the buyer, wantedAdditionally, they never once told us that our maintenance fees would go up each year and also had us put our down payment on their Barclay Bluegreen Rewards CardI was never informed that the interest would be 20% plus which resulted in not being able to put a dent into it based on almost all monies going towards interestThis entire experience has been nothing more than a money pit I have paid for them to post it on their selling site (they stated it was the only site I could use)I've attempted to dispute the down payment on two separate occasionsI have attempted to call have settle with the merchant on multiple occasions to no availOut of all individuals I have spoken with, only one man showed compassionI called about the second dispute being closed and in the end he broke down while I was crying on the phone and told me that I could dispute it as many times as I wanted and nothing would come of itThat I was screwed out of the $3,down payment At this point, I have had to pay the down payment off even though it was attached to the misrepresentation of the sale and total cost of the TimeshareI have sent so much money out of pocket to Bluegreen and nothing to show for itThey could not even give me a confirmation number as to taking of the "automatic payments" for the mortgageI had to go to my bank and pay to have that taken care of on my end as wellFailed attempts, lack of service, no usage and full on misrepresentation of the sale and being coerced into the purchaseall of this is leading me to seek legal assistanceThis is the worst decision I have ever made and am in such disbelief that I have had to encounter such turmoil with this company
The bonus they had to sell time share is a voucher for a cruiseThe company has noavailability for cruises unless you pay an upgrade fee So we were offered to pay 150$ smth to aren't the presentation to purchase a time shareWe paid and we wentAs a bonus we were suppose to receive a certificate for day cruiseWe paid and went to presentationReceived the certificate and that is when it beganApparently you have to pay 400$ to go on a cruise which they advertised as a free cruisePLUS They advertise day cruiseTHERE IS NOT ONE STYLE CRUISE FOR Days available leaving the state of Florida for the next yearsARE YOU KIDDING KE?
