Upon arrival, I spent 40 minutes at the front desk while they searched for my reservation ($384). Even the email with confirmed receipt and confirmation number wasn’t enough to find my reservation, so I decided to make a new reservation for $326 and was charged. When I arrived to the room, it hadn’t been cleaned and was unacceptable. I immediately went back and asked for a refund and that I wanted to stay elsewhere. While they did refund my money, it took lots of negotiation (never a manager present) and front desk associates who didn’t have a clue how to refund or what they were doing. I end up staying elsewhere, meaning I NEVER stayed at this hotel. I get back after my trip to find that my credit card has been charged an additional $384, the original price of my “lost” reservation. I called and explained the situation, expecting them to apologize and refund it, no problem. They did not. I have spent two weeks calling this institution and each time there is not a manager in duty, and I say take a message, then the next day nobody calls me so I call and the associate I spoke to previously “no longer works there”. The manager’s name changes every single day, and almost every person who works there only works for a day apparently. I finally got a manager last week who claimed she refunded my money, sent a receipt to my email (which I have), and said 1-3 days it will show up in my account. Six days later- nothing. I called, and that manager “no longer works there”. I think they are scamming me out of money, claiming that managers aren’t there, no longer work there, or they don’t know how to refund it. They will not refund me what I am owed, considering I never stayed at this hotel to begin with. I am extremely frustrated by this and truly believe they are scamming me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Originally when I filed this complaint, the matter had not been resolved. Since filing the complaint, I have received my monetary refund and the problem has been resolved.
