I booked a room at this hotel for the evening of Friday March 6 and Saturday March 7. The quoted price with tax was $177.58. My card was charged the morning of Saturday March 7, in the amount of 217.58. When I approached the desk to inquire about the difference, I was told they charge an extra 40 dollars for incidentals. This was the first time I was notified of this charge. I was assured the money would be returned to me immediately upon checkout. I was told that, depending on the bank, it may take 7-10 business days for the money to be returned to me. Today, after more than a month, the money still has not been returned to me. The hotel ignored several emails to their direct line and Facebook page, asking for my refund. When the manager, Mihir Makwana, did finally email me back, I was informed I was only charged the 177.58 and I would not be getting the 40 dollars back. When I presented the hotel manager proof, a screenshot of my bank statement that shows a debit of 217.58, they once again decided to once again ignore my emails, forcing me to resort to other means to try and get my money back. It should be noted that my mother also had her own room for both nights and the same thing was done to her.

I am rejecting this response because: while the statement listed a charge of 177 and change, which is what was quoted to me-it is not what I was charged. I was charged the quoted price of 177 and change, plus the 40 dollar phantom charge that the hotel enjoys billing guests. It's been 3 months now, and scores of emails and pleas have been ignored. At this point, I do not find it unjust to ask for not only the 40 dollars back, but my entire charge. It is an abomination that this has lasted this long, due only to the blatant ignoring of my pleas by the hotel manager. Please do the right thing and issue a full refund.
