Davis' Watch, Clock, Jewelry Repair

7/1/14 went this repair shop for a battery for a couple of watches. the owner replaces the batteries in two watches. For payment I gave her my debit card to which she said "we only take cash or checks" I looked for a sign stating this non existed the sign on the register did say "we gladly accept cash or checks". I'd gladly accept gold bullion of silver bars but my business still takes credit cards or debit cards. She told me the business down stairs had a ATM so for a fee of # dollars I got the cash and paid her. she didn't give me a receipt,I had to request one eben then it was just some scribble on the back of business card.
that evening I worked out and took a shower afterwards the watch was unreadable because of condensation inside the face. The watch is a Nixon waterproof to 100 meters with a high and low tides gauge, it's meant to go in the water and has been many times. It was only after she replaced the battery that it leaked. I took photographs with a high resolution camera, didn't have my glasses and blew the pictures up on my computer. Sure enough the one of the corner screw wasn't seated properly.
The next day I took it back to Davis watch repair. The same women wouldn't even consider that she may have compromised the seal instead became defensive immediately claiming the watch was not waterproof. I told her it was fine until she changed the battery and I'd had it in the water many times. She responded "what ever". She took the watch and as I turned to leave she tossed the watch on the table.
As a cash paying customer I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude to which she said " I deal with a-----holes like you all the time" I responded that if she had put the screws in properly I wouldn't be here. she replied "what are you and expert" it doesn't take and expert to put a screw in. I left the watch, I'll see what happens tomorrow.
