Hi my name is [redacted] , owner of [redacted] Chaves Excavating, IncI am writing this in response to a complaint filed by [redacted] When we gave a price to furnish material and labor for her driveway we dealt with her neighborShe wanted her driveway done along with a short road leading to the other driveways [redacted] through her neighbor said that she wanted the cheaper material on her drivewayLike the neighbors, that material was shur pacDue to the distance on trucking that was cheaper per loadThe shur pac is actually a better material then the crushed gravelShur pac is crushed ledge and stone and stone dust and has a grayish colorThe crushed gravel is crushed stone and sand which has a brownish colorThe short road coming to the homes was topped with crushed gravel as specified by the neighborThere must have been a misunderstanding between the three of us [redacted] wanted the cheaper material so that was what we put on as well as her neighbors driveWhen we were all done and sent the bill [redacted] emailed and thanked us for getting there and everything looked good except that she didn’t want the grayish color on her drive, she wanted it to be brown like the roadShe originally said she would pay 1/and would pay the other 1/after we fixed itIn the end she did pay the full billWe had given her a new price of $to come back and put some of the crushed gravel (brown material) on her driveway but we just ran out of time last year before the weather made it impossibleSo in the end we did do the job and we did it well, there was just a misunderstanding on her part as to what material should have been usedWe had no problem going back and fixing the driveway for her we just simply ran out of timeWe have been in business for years and have always tried to do a good job for a fair price and keep everyone happyWe hope to get this issue resolved asap and thank you for your time on this matter.Sincerely, [redacted]
