Business states patient has her glasses. She can come into office to pick up the remainder of her copay. Dr. Darwin stated this was an insurance issue, it was out of his control to get her the glasses any faster.
Review: On June 22nd, 2015 I went to my scheduled eye appointment at Dr. Darwin Eye Care. Even though I had an appointment I had to wait an additional 15 minutes to see the doctor. The office is unfinished and dirty. The equipment is old and I never witnessed him sanitize any of the machines before or after I used them. After my exam, I was given two prescriptions after being fitted for contacts and glasses. I decided to use my eye insurance to purchase glasses. I picked out a pair and went through all of the options with my insurance plan. I paid $172 after insurance and used my debit card. The money was taken from my account the following day - June 23, 2015. I was told they would be there in about 2 weeks. I waited the two weeks and heard nothing. I called the office and was told they were ordered and would be there in a few days. Another week went by so I called again, was told they would be there in a few days. Now it's been about a month and my glasses are not here. I asked them for a full refund so I could purchase my glasses elsewhere and they said that is not possible. So here I am with a prescription for glasses that I need for my health - my vision, and I have to wear the incorrect glasses until they finally decide to order them. I don't believe they were ever ordered and I think that Dr. Darwin is keeping my money. I want a full refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. They have wasted enough of my time and I do not wish to return. I would like to go elsewhere to purchase my glasses and contacts.
