RE: Complaint ID #: [redacted] ([redacted])To Whom It May Concern,We received the following letter from the Revdex.com detailing a complaint that one of our customers had. He expressed how he felt that we had cheated him out of some money. He wrote how we used the old "Bait and Switch" on...
him. We are an auto repair business that has been in business, in the same location, for our 35 years, being owned by us for 26 years come January 1, 2016. Needless to say, we value all of our customers.Enclosed you will find where I, [redacted], wrote out the estimate for Mr. [redacted]. You will notice where he wrote his name and cell phone number. Therefore, he was fully aware of the cost of replacing the muffler and tailpipe. He insisted that we use the original parts. At that time I told him the job could be done cheaper if we used after-market parts. But, he insisted that we use the OEM parts. I had the tailpipe shipped overnight, didn't charge him the shipping cost, because I had not quoted him the shipping cost. (the cost of shipping was $40, which I lost.)As a side note, I, myself, being the owner did the job on Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle so he wouldn't have to wait so long. The employee that was scheduled to work on Mr. [redacted] vehicle quit. Therefore I don't believe I treated Mr. [redacted] unfairly or that he was overcharged for the job that I did for him.
