Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:In response to Debbie M[redacted] reply to my complaint:     1: I used a long arm quilter in Illinois for many years until she retired. I always deferred to her on thread color and pattern of stitching and I was ALWAYS pleased with her choices. Again, I went through  Debbie's  website and FB page and viewed examples of her work BEFORE I sent her my quilt and everything seemed on the up and up. When she finished my quilt, she did send me pics and I DID question her about the thread color at that time. In the pictures she sent the thread appeared cream colored and stood out terribly. But she assured me that it was a green and that it must have been washed out in the photos. When I received my quilt back, I was shocked to find that the thread really did more closely match one of the cream colors in the blocks on the top, and did not appear to be any shade of green at all. I was also shocked to find that she used that same LIGHT colored thread on the back (bobbin thread) when the back is a dark green with a black overall print. As I stated in my complaint, I consulted [redacted] and explained the situation. It was confirmed by their expert that a more medium green thread would have been more appropriate for the front, but also there was absolutely no way they would have ever used such a light colored thread for such a dark colored backing. As she stated, she has 11 years of experience. It seems to me that she should have used better judgment when choosing the thread or at the very least contacted me is she was unsure. Instead she chose what she chose and expected me to live with her choice.     2: In regards to her comment about this being minor and fixable: While I concede that it MIGHT have been fixable- this was by no means minor. And fixable would be very debatable. This is a queen size quilt. So tearing all the stitching out from ALL OVER the entire quilt would be a very daunting task even if it had been stitched correctly. The issue with tearing this piece out is the all over issue of the thread tension. On an item where the thread tension is correct, it is time consuming but doable to remove it all with out damaging the item. When the thread tension is tight, and the stitches very small, as it is in so much of this item- tearing out all the stitching can not be done the usual way due to the potential of damaging the fabric. When you come to an area where the stitches are so tight, you would have to hand pick each stitch out very carefully to prevent tearing the fabric on either the top of the backing. This would have been VERY time consuming for her and the potential that she would have ripped the top, necessitating repairs, or ripped the back, necessitating replacement of the back, was exceptionally high. Not only would I have been out the quilt top I put MANY hours into cutting, piecing and sewing, I would have been out the cost pf all the fabric that WOULD have been damaged.      3: As for her offering to fix it: Again- she would have been angry at having to rip it all out and do it over. She very obviously sees nothing wrong with it so she would potentially have taken it out on the item. This would have been VERY destructive as I described above and there for I did not trust her to rip it out. And if she wasn't monitoring the machine and fixing the tension issues the first time- who's to say that it would have been different if I sent it back to her to have it redone.    4: As for making communication difficult. We set this entire transaction up on FB messenger. She never once asked to be contacted by any other method. I therefore assumed that this was an acceptable form of communication for her. When I received my quilt back and realized all the issues, I did call her several times. I only reached an answering machine. I left messages with my number and never received a return call. I therefore returned to the only form of communication to which she was willing to respond to, FB messenger.     5: As for her resentment of my following her "personal life". My response to that is that I was waiting for a return call to discuss the issues I had with the quilt. I am not interested in what she does- although I still firmly believe that she was in such a rush to clear her workspace before her vacation that she did not properly inspect the workings of her machine resulting in the terrible tension and poor quality work that is now all over my quilt. Had she been inspecting it properly she would have caught the issues very near the beginning and would have adjusted the machine to prevent this from going on throughout the entire quilt. So yes, I did notice her posts about her vacation, as I was trying to contact her and was wondering why I wasn't getting a call back. And again, she made it very plain that the only response I was going to get from her was through FB. I never refused to discuss this with her. We had MANY conversations via messenger about this. I also DID leave my number on her answering machine. As for the slander allegation- it's NOT slander if it is based on fact. Fact: her machines tension was not working properly or she did not adjust it properly- therefore it resulted in poor workmanship and an unhappy customer. Fact: She ruined my quilt. Whether she see it that way or not, the damage it would have caused by ripping it out, and the result of having to just put up with the bad quilting job ruined a quilt that I put MANY hours into and was to be a wedding gift. Fact: she refused to call me back. Fact: while she offered to fix it,it is my belief that she would have done more damage to it by ripping it out and trying to re-quilt it. Fact: She did poor workmanship the first time around, why should I trust her to do it again.     Again, I am not the only one who feels that her work was substandard. I consulted with [redacted] and received information that confirmed to me that what she did was wrong. I encourage you, in your investigation to call and discuss this with them. They are quite knowledgeable and where very willing to discuss this over the phone and provide expert opinion and options on what they usually do if a customer isn't satisfied with their work. Their contact number is:     Thank you for your time and attention to this matter and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,[redacted]
