My husband has been buying me gift cards from Creations salon going on 13 years. I use them at my leisure to get hair color, or hair cuts. He always spends $125.00. The salon is rather expensive, but I have always been happy with the results. I have had the same stylist for the 13 years I've been going there. Recently my grand daughter came to visit and wanted to get her eye brows waxed, so I told her I'd take her to Creations. When we got there I was surprised it had been remodeled, and looked quite nice. After she was done I went to pay for the service with my gift card and was told it did not work. I said that was impossible because even though it was purchased in May of 2013, I had not used it and it still has the full $125.00 on the card. Then I was informed that new owners took over, and that they have new computers and the card would not read. Just then the lady that has done my hair for 13 years arrived and said let me have your card and I will talk to the owners, and get back to you. Well I have called her many times and she has ignored my calls. So much for customer loyalty. I have the receipt for the purchase of the card, and I think I should get a refund or product. I was always under the assumption that gift cards do not expire. And by the way, they did not change the name of the business, it is still Creations and that is the name on the gift card that my former stylist stole from me.
