Shoddy repair, excessive repair cost
On February 28, 2013 I went to have a few trouble codes fixed that were causing my "Service Engine Soon" light to come on. [redacted] said he would take care of the problems and call me. I did not pester them, and let them take their time. After 11 days, I began to wonder if they were making any headway. [redacted] said he had it fixed and to come get it. I paid him $1152.60 on my credit card. I had not driven 1 mile until the "Service Engine Soon" light came back on. It was still showing codes P1132 and P1152. He called and said to bring it back, and he would put a new fuel pump on at no charge. When I went back, instead of getting a new fuel pump, he asked me if I had a set of vice grips? I said yes, and the next thing I know, he was pinching off a hose and said that should fix it. Huh? I don't think so! Anyway, that is the way it is right now. A pinched off hose. I would only recommend Tire Country, Inc. for non-mechanic items, like tire repair or minor items. All I can say is good luck. I will NEVER go there again!! BTW, I took pictures of the vice grips pinching the hose off to show people who don't believe me!
