The customer requested we tow his bike to our facility to have a stator put in that he providedWe towed the bike in on 1/11/There was no stator in the bile when it was picked upThe customer stated the old one melted in the bile he took that stator outHe handed us the stator he
bought onlineAs we attempted to install the provided part we found that it did not fit the bikeWe also found wires melted, oil leaking from his oil drain plug, bodywork zipped tied on no hardwareWe called the customer to make him aware of all these problemsHe could take the bike out of our facility or we could get a stator that fit his bike for for the partHe agreed to the new part and more hours in repair for the oil leak and melted wiresWe ordered stator and installedAttempted to start bike and it would not turn overWe put it on a trickle charger to charge the battery, still would not startWe called customer to tell him the stator is in but the bike would not startHe was angry and hung up on usTwo days later he came in and apologized for hanging up and asked us to find out why the bike won't starthe also brought a friend as a potential new customer to get some pricing on his bikeWe received this letter on the 2/22/and we have not and will not be touching his bikeThis bike has alot of issues customer stated that another repair facility installed the old stator that meltedWe called this other facility and according to the VIN number on this bike they never touched itCustomers original request of replacing the stator is doneBike is put together and I will be calling him to come and pick it up
