Despite their written philosophy of "always do what's right," C&W unwilling to offer any support for parts or labor when repair failed after 120 days.
C & W ticket # XXXXXX. I paid $97.37 (Master Card 11/14) for estimate on 11/11/13 plus $208.62 (Master Card 11/20)for parts and labor on 11/13/13 to replace oven door hinges(XXXXXXX)on Whirlpool built-in double oven (RBD275PDQ8)which would not close properly. Warrantee on labor was 30 days & parts 90 days. Repair failed in under 120 days. Original parts lasted 15+ years. When I contacted them in early March, customer service would not help. Further contact with management refused any consideration, accommodation or negotiation at all. They would not discount further parts or labor and refused to contact the parts distributor or manufacturer for their help in standing up for the quality of the hinges. Their only answer was to spend another $300.00 to do the same thing again. As a retired individual, spending $300 multiple times for simple metal spring replacement parts is not a consideration and I question C&W's written philosophy of "always do what's right." "To do what's right" would be to be flexible enough to stand behind the product and service they provide even if it means a few weeks beyond the warrantee.
