Review: [redacted], the proprietor, agreed to strip an oak table that we use as a breakfast table. Over the phone, we had agreed to a total fee of $180. However, when the table was dropped off at his business address, he informed me the that the cost would be $215.00. With tax, the total would be $227.90. A deposit of 113.95 was paid when the table was dropped off with [redacted]. Several weeks later, after several calls that were not returned, [redacted] called and informed me that he would deliver the table to our home. Upon arrival, [redacted] explained that he not longer had the lease at the address where I dropped it off because he was having a dispute with the owner of the building. The balance $113.95 was paid and, then, [redacted] informed me that the table's slides (the movable structure that allows a leaf to be added to the table) had been damaged in the stripping process and that he would return to install them. Since that time we have called [redacted] numerous times (more than 10 times) to find out when he would be returning to install the slides. On two occasions, each after several calls, a woman returned our call and scheduled him to come and finish the job. Both times, we waited and he did not show up or call to explain. We are now making this repair on our own. Meanwhile, we have not had the use of our table since April 16, 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the purchase of the new slides. They are costing me $52.90.
