Custom Garages

Review: I paid Curtis Scott Smith to build me a garage, I paid for each portion as he built and was very cautious about how much money I gave him at one time. He was always late for every deadline but always had some elaborate excuse. He got the garage built and I paid him to do the electrical work and to put up the garage doors. After I paid for those two things, I never heard from him again. The work that he did do is shabby at best and was mostly incomplete. I had to put up all my own headers, resurface the garage floor, do the electrical, put up garage doors, build steps for the man door and some other odds and ends that he messed up. He is the worst person I have ever had work for me and he owes me over $3700 in a refund. I tried to take him to court but he could never be found and my Sheriff's Dept charges over $100 everytime they try to serve someone so I decided to cut my losses before I lost even more money. Stay away from this man and Custom Garages. He still has several ads on Craigslist in NC, SC and VA. He is running this scam all over the east coast, BEWARE!!Desired Settlement: $3700 refund
