I purchased an aircraft for $56.743.00 on Nov 21, 2019 from this auction house. An important part of an aircraft's value as well as the airworthiness (airworthiness is what allows it to legally fly) is the paperwork and documentation of an aircraft. The FAA registration I attempted was rejected because the bill of sale was not filled out properly. I requested a new bill of sale from Cunningham. No response? I had to seek out the owner that sold the aircraft through this auction house. The Operating Limitations (Part of the airworthiness certificate for an experimental aircraft) was also missing? The aircraft could not be operated without it. The complete aircraft documentation (including the Operating Limitations) was delivered by George Cunningham to the previous owner Jan 31st, 2020. He personally signed for it months ago and apparently it was lost in his office for 2 1/2 months. The previous owner delivered it to my house and they're working on a new bill of sale so I can finally register the aircraft. This auction house charged a premium to both parties to handle this transaction. Losing critical paperwork and not ensuring the FAA bill of sale is correct are major failures for a company supposedly administering the sale of an aircraft. This company should never be trusted with administering an aircraft transaction. I'm relying on the former owner to send a corrected bill of sale to allow me to register the aircraft. Cunningham has not assisted in correcting the problem even though they were paid their fees to do so.
