CSE Federal Credit Union

On or around June 2018, ***eporting system sent an update saying an account was updated. The account was for CSE Federal Credit Union, the company was updating my file to include a charge off. I called *** to see what the charge off was for and was informed that CSE sent electronically an update saying my account was a charge off. I was confused as this account was removed from reporting on 2/2018, I contacted a CSE representative (***). I spoke with *** concerning the matter, at first I was told the credit union never updated the information and that I needed to contact ***. Which I did, I was told by an *** representative that CSE updated the DOFD from 1/2011 to say 9/2012. I once again contacted *** by email with my credit reports stating the DOFD was indeed 1/2011 and CSE could not legally report negative information past 7 years. *** informed me that my DOLA was 9/2012 and this was now(since 7/2018) being reported as my DOFD. FCRA rules and regulations state that a company can not re-age an account and negative information can only be reported for 7 years past account going into collections.

In good faith, I worked with CSE to update the information but I am not seeing a resolution. I want CSE to update my consumer file immediately.
