On Friday October 10, I scheduled a showing and I got confirmation to show the house located at *** *** *** *** *** ***
The time requested was 9:45AM to 1O:OOAM Unfortunately, my client showed up late for the appointment but we
went forward with the showing because she could only see houses on Fridays
I received confirmation to show four houses in the development and King William was the 2nd on the listWe stop by around 11am that day without knowing that the appointment was already cancelled by the ownerTo my surprise when I got to my office around PM I had an e-mail stating that my appointment was cancelled by the owner of 1** *** *** ***
I was further surprised when I received a call from the seller in my cell phone around 5PM the same day insulting me saying that I was un-professional by showing his house after he cancelled the appointmentI was trying to calm him down by saying that I became aware that he cancelled only after I entered his propertyI offered him my sincere apologies but he told me that an apology was not sufficient and he hang up without saying a word I want to clarify that in this situation all complaints should have been handled by the listing agent or the listing broker and not from the seller himself
The desired settlement proposed by *** *** is not acceptable to me because he has not shown a legitimate reason for replacing his door lock
*** ***'s house is still for sale and over one thousand Realtors in New Castle County can make appointments and if they get confirmation they can enter the house
My point is that I did not break his lock and if he wants me to pay for a new one he has to give me a valid reason
Review: [redacted] is by title, a real estate professional. He scheduled an appointment through the Appointment Center to show my home to one of his clients and was a no-show at the appointment. I waited for him for approximately 45 minutes and he did not call, text, or email that he would not be able to make the appointment or was running late. I then cancelled the appointment through the Appointment Center due to his unprofessional conduct. Then in a clear violation of 2 Articles of the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors he accessed my home through the use of an electronic lock-box without permission. After learning of his unauthorized entry I called him and he said he did have permission that I granted by accepting the appointment - regardless of the fact that he rudely did not show up for the appointment to which he responded with a sarcastic apology. My primary objectives were for Mr. Cruz to accept responsibility for his unethical and unprofessional behavior and sincerely apologize, and for him to pay for a new lock for my front door, which he flat out refused.Desired Settlement: My primary objectives were for [redacted] to accept responsibility for his unethical and unprofessional behavior and sincerely apologize, and for him to pay for a new lock for my front door, which he flat out refused.
