Recently I had to replace the battery in my CX90 wagon...I have a 60 month bumper to bumper warranty. It was late in the day and I figured I'd replace the dead corroded battery, supposedly checked at each service, and turn in the receipt when I took it in for service. The response was at best given to me by the harbinger of lassitude masquerading as a service manager, The official word from the fugleman was," that sense I replaced the battery during Volvo service department hours, and did not call the towing service represented in the "warranty" and have the wagon either towed in, or a battery possibly brought to me by said towing company as a replacement, I was out of luck getting reimbursed." I was also told that the battery was checked each time I had a service. That of course was twaddle, I had to clean off the corrosion, and I put the felt disk used to prevent corrosion on the new battery. I only have a couple of thousand miles left on this "bumper to bumper" warranty and will be glad to have finished with this flapdoodle business...Unfortunately, I have a Volvo convertible and the response I had with the service department concerning a situation with it, well...
