Crown Collision Center Reviews (1)

To whom it may concern, 13Mar16After being told my Vehicle was done by Crown Collision Friday 11 Mar 2016, I paid my deductible over the phone as I would not be able to get there before closing. I got to Crown Collision about 1715(515pm) to pick up my vehicle. Upon getting into my vehicle to leave I saw that the right hand lower side mirror had not been replaced. Then upon starting the vehicle the backup sensors still were malfunctioning as they did after the accident. I called and left a message at Crown Collision stating such. Then while driving home, it was still pulling to the left, even after it had an alignment done. Thus, prompting me to thoroughly go through the vehicle and inspect everything I knew had been touched during the time it had been under Crown Collisions repair as well as inform [redacted] (my insurance) of the issue. I have found numerous items to not be satisfactory and not in the condition it was when I left the vehicle with Crown Collision for repair to damage done in an accident on 20Jan2016. The vehicle had been in Crown Collisions care from 15Feb2016 to this point. The time frame estimated was supposed to be from 15Feb-22Mar2016. So with 7 business days left to do the repairs, why return my vehicle in a very UNSAT condition. The following is what I have found to be not in proper working condition after being in Crown Collison?s care and has not been fixed or repaired as well. The items involving the interior were still as the factory had installed them as they had not been removed, repaired, or broken since I purchased the vehicle.1. Back up sensors instantly think something is behind you when vehicle is put into reverse even when nothing is there.2. Lower right side mirror not replaced3. Vehicle pulls to the left4. Rubber between bed and cab on right side not replaced5. Weather strip around front passenger door has a gap of approx. 1 in at bottom of the door6. Plastic trim/paneling on front passenger door, near bottom of window, front side, between door and cab is loose and barely even attached7. The plastic trim piece across the front of the cab below the windshield has a broken mount next to the antenna8. Air dam right side on bottom of front bumper is not fully attached9. Block heater cable is not secured to the front bumper as it was and is not routed properly10. Rear passenger door panel is missing a fastener11. 60 side of the 60/40 split bench rear seat binds as you lift the bottom half of the seat up12. The interior carpet on the back of the cab behind the seat is haphazardly installed and not properly secured in place13. The child safety seat anchor covers broken14. Seatbelt trim for rear side seatbelts missing15. Lower passenger side rear seatbelt attachment cover not installed correctly16. Rear cab end of headliner not installed properly17. Seat belt attachment cover for front passenger side seatbelt broken18. Right front inner fender liner missing fasteners19. Cover missing for drivers seat rear attachment bolt right sideAs you can see from the list, I do not understand why Crown Collision considered my vehicle done. With the amount that they received to complete the work this is UNSAT and will never receive my business again. I will never recommend them to any one either. It is my intention to reluctantly deliver my vehicle back to them to correct these issues first thing 14Mar2016. I would hope a business like this would take the care to each vehicle as if it were their own and not just a cash cow.Sincerely[redacted]Product_Or_Service: repair of accident damageDesired SettlementI would like them to finish the job they started and and said they could do to satisfactory or better standards. They should as I stated above treat the vehicles they work on, no matter if its and insurance claim or not, as if they were their own. I feel like they are ripping off both their customers and the insurance companies who are paying them to repair vehicles when the service they are giving is not complete and the customer has to return for unfinished repairs. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted] contacted you before she even contacted us with her issues. ALL items of concern have been resolved and vehicle is ready for delivery. There were a few legitimate concerns, some were probably not even related to the claim. Vehicle condition is fair to good at best, they do not take any pride in ownership and it shows in overall vehicle condition. (serious body damage on drivers side that was never repaired, severe coolant leak on motor, damaged radio, worn out front suspension components. We have done all repairs related to the insurance claim and taken care of a few non-related items. [redacted] will no longer be welcome at our business. Shop has been in business since 1964 with no complaints to the Revdex.com. Thank you,[redacted]Assistant ManagerCrown Collision CenterConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do take care of my vehicle and the interior of my vehicle was in factory shape. I had already had the coolant leak looked at and was waiting for it to return from the body shop to be fixed as it could not be fixed before hand. There is no damage to the radio, it resets due to needing to replace the batteries, which again my vehicle had been in repair. The suspension is normal wear and tear. Yes, I did report them before bringing my concerns to them as the more I found that had been damaged by their shop during the repair was not right and extremely upsetting. The left side of my vehicle, yes, is damaged, but there is nothing mechanically wrong with it. Everything I reported to them as being not fixed was all apart of the claim!!!! I will never be going back to them as this is not the first time they have missed something when repairing my vehicle. The last time they repaired my vehicle, I had been rear ended and they repaired the bumper, replaced the hitch, and forgot to replace the light cover for the license plate. If they think it its not related, they do not fix it until you have to bring the vehicle back instead of calling and asking either the insurance or the person. Not everyone is out to get something for nothing. If I were that type of person I could have said the left side damage was apart of this claim as well. That damage has been there almost the life of the truck. Final Business Response Repair shop did not do any damage to the vehicle. All concerns have been taken care of. All damage related to the insurance claim has been repaired. There is no more we can do within the scope of the repairs that were related to the insurance claim.Thank you.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Upon returning my vehicle to Crown I was told that they had an individual working on it that they had to let go and they said they "thought" they caught everything. They also stated that they did not think the damage to my side mirror was related due to the mirror was only missing, but the area it went wasn't damaged. I was also told they again "thought" they had the sensors fixed, but that was not the case. I made sure to pick my vehicle up during business hours the second time. I was then told that somehow my positive terminal lead on the passenger side battery disintegrated, and they were "nice enough" to replace that too. When the vehicle was put into their possession the battery terminal lead was fine. It was then stated that they were told my ball joints were starting to wear but the alignment was in fact in specs. Now after receiving my vehicle the second time from them, I went to fill up with fuel and found that my fuel cap lanyard was shoved into the fuel door instead back in the proper location. I will not return to Crown for this as I am done with their subpar repair service. Somehow all of the "thoughts" and "I thinks" about my vehicle being done equates to I don't take care of my vehicle according to this company. Well I sure hate to hear what they think of others who can't afford to maintain their vehicle on the spot and have to save to pay for repairs as I do, or those who can only manage to do the minimum to keep their daily drivers on the road. If this is how they treat and think of their customers they can keep their services, I will gladly take my business elsewhere! As far as I am concerned with this complaint it can be closed and kept on record because even if I do or do not find anything else that they either did not do or damaged in the process it will not be returned to them.
