The tenants did quite a bit of damage and went against the lease agreement on a few items. All of the charges were outlined on the paperwork. The cost they actually owed went over the amount of the deposit, and I waived the extra. I didn’t let the housing authority know about this,
though I could have. I did the best I could for them. I never said the apartment was fine at that time; I said it looks like it might be but I will have to take a closer look and get back to them. I even dismissed a couple months of rent due to what happened to their daughter
