Had Mr *** not become hostile on the phone, threatening to show up here and make waves when Liz called to try to
collect the balance (this conversation was overheard by myself and one other) or had he had a civil dialogue with our clinic regarding this billing concern at any time over the months BEFORE he was sent a final notice and received Liz' phone call, we would have gladly written this off to the in network copayWe do not take sending patients to collections lightly
Mr *** should learn that threatening others is no way to handle his concernsWe have removed the out of network responsibility from his account and consider this case closed
The wife of this person called our office wanting to redeem the third coupon which had already been redeemed per our 24 hour cancellation policy. her that was not possible. She then said her husband had been in the hospital to which we responded that if she could supply us with a doctors note that gave the dates of hospitalization that we would rereview the situation. She threatened to involve the Revdex.com and, while our verbage may not have been appropriate (you would not "laugh" at the situation) the point was their is a clear policy on our website supported by the [redacted]. We WOULD have offered another $33 massage or WOULD have re-reviewed the situation with a doctors note.Several days later the husband came in and we calmly had a discussion about the process and once again we requested the doctors note. To date we have no proof that he was in fact hospitalized. At that point we could rereview the situation. We implemented a 24 hour cancellation polilcy because our massage therapists are not hourly employees. Their paychecks depend on these clients showing up. If you can obtain the doctors note explaining his health situation we would be more than happy to reconsider this situation. Please see the screen shots below that show our policy on our website and that we adhere to policy in our [redacted] used to use the same verbage as our website. I am working to have them correct it to this today.
